Awwright! Who is the wise guy that, while I stood in the front yard, rode that beautiful black S1(?) right in front of my house on a suburban road that goes from nowhere to nowhere!?!?!

It looked like an S1 tail section, but had matt black primary covers (more like an X1?)... don't know if the S1 ever came that way...

And you did not stop or anything! How rude ; ) Did you not see the buell sticker on the back of BOTH cars in the driveway? The Cyclone parked in the open garage? The clear dribble of drool as I admired your S1?

Geesh! Pay more attention next time!

Busted by Bill.
I've been trying to blow some cobwebs off my 1998 S1W in the Winton Woods area lately. I went down a couple summers ago and replaced my the stock primary cover with the newer black model - I intend to do the same for the cam side, but I hear that the cams installed are matched to the cam cover, so I may end up sending it off to be milled down and the powder coated to match. It was originally a twintail, but I purchased a carbon fiber single some time back.

Wow! Small world. Stop in and say hi sometime... I am at 847 Carini Lane until the end of July, after that we are moving to Lebanon.

Look for the Buell stickers on the back of the green Saturn SC2 or the burgandy Toyota Sienna.

Nice looking bike! The black primary cover on the S1 looked great! It fits the aggressive look of the bike.

I may have mentioned this before, but you two should check out C.O.R.E. (Central Ohio Riding Enthusiasts). It's a pretty large sportbike club that I have ridden with but it isn't limited to just Central Ohio. There are 4 Buellers that ride, including me. You'll ride with Triumphs, Ducati's, and the repliracer group. The rides are spirited and I am always far in the back with the slow group. They just took a trip to Deal's Gap last week.

The Cincinatti (and Lebanon) area "admin" of the Club is a paramedic down there named Keith Paton. If you are interested, contact him through the forum.

Website: http://www.coreriders.com (the core website seems to be down today)

Bill,
I live in College Hill so I'm just a stones throw from you. I have been trying to ride a little each evening, so you may hear me comming down your road. I haven't ridden as much as I would have liked to the last couple of years, and it feels good to be back on the bike.

If you see a guy on a red SV650 cruising around there stop and say hi, he is a good friend of mine (Kevin)...

XB9r... I saw the local link. I might try and hook up. I am not thrilled about larger group rides, it's too stressful. And when too many "pure" sportbikes get together, the testosterone and posing (both theirs, and my own instincts) gets me depressed. And I have a hard enough time making time for my own rides (between family and work responsibilities), so something that requires co-ordinating lots of schedules is unlikely to happen... But I might try and visit...

JScott... I'll be watching for you! Drop by... I am usually home after 7 or so (work in dayton, ugly commute).

Just letting you know it's out there.
There's a CORE-only track day upcoming and we have other gatherings throughout the year.

A CORE ride is what you make of it.
You can hook up with one rider or a bunch.
It's very informal.
Rides most often break up into the fast ones and the not so fast ones.

Mike.

Man! You are making me homesick. Grew up in Finneytown and during my high school years parts of Winton Woods was our own private racetrack: )
