well I ain't back in bloomington yet. Staying down in the river town of Madison,Indiana.

went for a ride and just got lost, planned lost.
actually found some good curves, they don't last as many miles as they do in the mountains but some good elevation changes and such. I even got air on one of them that was interesting.
hwy 129, hwy 62 and hwy 250 and the river road of hwy 56. 56 wasn't great but the view was cool, it follows right along the ohio river.

Then I took the tiger and got off road, damn near got stuck in some river mud, dang and I'd just cleaned her. Well now she looks right again.

going up to b-town tomorrow to talk about a job at bloomington hd/buell. we'll see.

anyway, it feels real good to be back home again in Indiana.....aaahhhh I can hear gomer pyle singin away......

If the HD shop doesnt work out, you could always get a job in the mall selling clothes at TJ Max: D

Or maybe selling womens shoes....now that would probably be an easy way to meet women. Not as cool as your hairdressing years tho.

Hey Brian, Madison is a pretty cool place when the boat racing gets fired up.

If you head north east from Madison and start working your way towards Lawrenceburg, Milan, Osgood, Sunman, you'll find some baby twisties. You won't mistake them for North Carolina, but they've got some.

Stay in touch buddy.

I know a few good roads around Lawrenceburg, look around union ridge road. And if you cross over into Kentucky, there are some truly "this road was paved by a madman" routes. Can't always count on good road conditions on them though... but when you find a freshly paved one it's like a roller coaster, sometimes even tighter and steeper then the gap (with just as much gravel).

All the roads along the little Miami are pretty nice as well.

And Bubba... get thyself to rabbit hatch Kentucky on a sunny saturday or sunday afternoon. You are riding through these little goat trails paved roads through the middle of nowhere, and all of a sudden you come to this old general store, with about 100 motorcycles parked everywhere. It's surreal. Some good roads around there as well.

Sorry, it's rabbit hash, not rabbit hatch, I had it wrong.

Anyway, it is right across the river from rising sun Indiana. There is no bridge there though, so you have to cross further on and work your way back.

Not sure if this link will work or not... do a mapquest search for rabbit hash KY and it will find it.

After you visit Rabbit Hash, jump back across the river into Ohio and visit Blue Ball!: ) Also, if you hit Lawrenceburg on a Friday night, swing by the fairgrounds and see some motorcycle speedway racing on the 5th mile behind the historic Lawrenceburg Speedway. They run sprint cars there on Saturday.

I can vouch for the roads in the Kentucky along the river. Paved cow paths running up and down the hills.

Man........now I'm homesick!

Mmmmmmm......Fiiivvvvveeeee wwwwaaaaayyyyy.......

That's just making matters worse! Wait, I think I have some frozen Skyline in the freezer for just such an emergency!!!

Anyway...back to the roads. Heading east in Ky, if you get south of Covington/Newport, towards Kincaid Lake, and head back west on back roads towards Dry Ridge and on to Warsaw some of the roads are just insane! Head a little north while still in Ky along the river toward Big Bone Lick State Park and the Union Co. area is good too. Get over into Ohio and east of Cincinnati thing get a little interesting also. Get east o Milford on US 50 the just start turning off on almost any given side road will produce some grins and puckers. Once you get east of Owenville though, it begins to flatten out. I guess a good rule of thumb would be to not get too far from either the Ohio river or the Little Miami.
