I was wondering if you happened to pick up MCN this week, and if there were any pics of the Yamaha BT1700?

thanks

Every week Jim, every week!!!

Page 2 and 3, Yamaha future bikes feature. Computer generated naked R1 took centre stage AND front cover.

The BT1700 pic is the size of a fag packet. Proposed launch 2005.

"The BT1700 will feature a more powerful version of the XV1700 Warrior cruiser engine, tuned for around 100 bhp, in a Buell-style naked chassis".

does it look more like the bull dog or the MT 01?

I'm dying to see this bike finally in production...

oh yeah, would "cheers mate" be appropriate here?

They call it a 'production interpretation of the 1999 MT-01 concept bike'.

It has the small R1 style hunched up tank, those large tapered under seat pipes that swallow up small boys, and the tube frame 'Buell copy' header style. Upside down forks, long box section alloy swing arm with underneath dog leg brace, narrow 5 spoke alloys, Brutale style headlamp. The seat is far too long!

Cheers would be appropriate if we were tossing back a pint of Worthington's Creamflow with a lemonade 'top'.
