I love writing threads like this! Not long ago I was riding my 2002 M2 and I noticed a vibration from the motor that I was not used to feeling. I pulled over and looked down to find that the front mount on the WileyCo Carbon Fiber exhaust I purchased had snapped in half. BUMMER! With the help of a muffler clamp, a piece of metal, and a spacer, I made the repairs to ride the bike home. Thinking back to when I bought the system I was told to make sure I sent in the waranty card as it was gaurantied for life. Well, I never did because I am a dumb ass at times. I decided to drop an email to the info box at WileyCo just to see if I could purchase a new elbow so I wouldn’t have to see that unsightly muffler clamp. I explained how I never sent in the waranty info when I bought the system in 2002. I was promptly contacted by Steve from WileyCo who asked if I still had the waranty card or any of that stuff. I wrote him back that I didn’t. He asked me to send him pictures of the system on my bike. I grabbed my digital and sent them off. That day he sent me back an email saying that it would cost me about $43 to cover shipping of a complete new system from Italy. My jaw dropped! He said, “when we cover a system 100%, we mean it!” To anyone who is considering buying an aftermarket exhaust for their bike, tuber or XB, I HIGHLY recommend WileyCo! Not to mention how much I truly love the sound of the exhaust and get many compliments on it. This company definitely knows customer service.

I have had great service from them,as a dealer too! They do stand behind their stuff. Fast service, I get mufflers in about 3 days, all the way from Italy! Ride to the edge! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com |

I also have a Wileyco on my X1. I have had zero problems in 2 years(9000 mi) of use. I emailed them once asking for info on repacking the can and they replied with a box of packing, rivets and a handful of gaskets (for detaching the can from the elbow for primary fluid changes). I highly recommend them. Frank |

Just a follow up. I got my Brand New Wiley Co. exhaust in the mail today. The new mount looks indestructable, the can no longer is bolted to the elbow so you don't need to worry about gasket replacement, and the new T-shirt and hat look great. Although the new elbow is not chrome like the old one I am incredibly happy and can't wait to bold it up!!! I will post pictures when I get a chance. As a side note, if you are planning on purchasing a Wiley Co system make sure you get the one with these updates! I have still seen the older style systems in the stores like Hal's. |

Koz, Please do post a pic of the new style front mount. When are you heading up to Appleton again? I might zip up there Friday if nothing else gets in the way. Leaving NW Milwaukee around 11:00. Have to be back to the Glendale area by 3:00. Not sure if it's doable or not. |

Thinking about it, does it look like the front end and elbow of the new mount is retrofittable to the older exhausts? I'm thinking/wondering if it'd be possible to just rerivet the new front to the old rear, I've got the stainless steel version. |

No, the new elbow will not retro fit. As far as Appleton goes, I just rode up here now. It was a bit chilly! |

Here are the pics of the new exhaust. Notice you no longer bolt the elbow pipe to the canister. Also I took a close up of the mega sturdy new mount on the elbow... Enjoy
