Hello all, I like the HD big twin filter. Who else makes this filter? I tried the FL1-a and the bolt from my motor mount kept rubbing up against it due to the 1A's diameter being larger then the standard HD filter. Is there a web site where I can cross reference oil filters. I did a search here and it is a bit over whelming to use BWBs search engine. You get too many hits using it. Regards Mike |

Look up one that goes on a 96 ford windstar V6 (the bigger engine). It is about as long as the FL1-A, but not as big around. I have the same problem, and I have one sitting out in the garage to try next. |

Mike, Try making your search less vague by including a "+" in front of each word and by selecting the "Match all keywords". Or try searching just one topic that seems most applicable (knowledge vault) or try searching in just the subject title of the subtopics. With a few minutes of fiddling with the various search criteria I can usually find exactly what I'm looking for.

Mike, I had the exact same issue. I was sitting in front of Tilley's HD and CycloneCharlie told me to "turn it around" (in reference to the bolt.) It was the solution for me. Now the FL1A, or the K&N model, is a perfect fit with no rubbing. Greg |

Hey Greg, What is the torque rating on that bolt? I may just turn mine around as well. Regards Mike |

Mike, I have no access at this time to my service manual (or bike, wife, dog, truck, kids, lawnmower, etc, etc, etc) so I don't have any clue. Wish I could help you. Greg |

I will pull out my service manual. I thought you might have the torque specs on the top of your head. Regards Mike |
