Hello all,

I have installed the Firebolt sigs on the rear of my Cyclone. Right now I removed the front sigs and installed the FB sig on the left and noticed the mounting bolt is hitting the back of my headlight.I was thinking of drilling the headlight\signal bracket and moving the sig back away from the light. Anybody have other ideas? Also, I noticed the later X1 sigs for the front end are longer then the FB sigs. Anybody have any luck getting these to work? I am trying to avoid drilling my headlight mounting bracket.

Regards

Mike

I have XB turn signals on my M2 and did not run into the headlight problem. I don't know if there is a difference, but I used all rear turn signals so that I would not have the extension that is used on the fronts. If there are enough threads on the bolt, you may be able to cut it down. The mounting bracket isn't that thick so you shouldn't need more than a 1/2 to 3/4 inch of threads.

Good luck. I really like mine.

Yea, I just figured I would cut the bolt. It barely clears the headlight now but it works. I had to cut the connectors off. Now I am going to put on a new set of connectors and I am in business. I think the FB sigs look way better then the stock M2 sigs. They are rounder then the stock ones and not so orange.

Mike,
I believe the headlight ears are different from 2000 to the 2001 model.
I should probably check the part numbers sometime..
The stock 2K models didn't have a tach. 2001 and up did.
I put X1 (same as FB lites) blinkers on my 2K M2 shortly after I got it.
I had to elongate the hole in the "ears" to move the blinker toward the rear.

BTW, I used 2 sets of rear blinkers. they have shorter stalks than the front ones.
Keep in mind there is a left and right blinker.
Look closely at the seam where the lense meets the body.
There is a small drain slot that should face down toward the ground.
