Here's the skinny-
XT12 Sport Touring bike for 2005!
It wasn't annoucded at all...it's just the first of April, and in the states at least, that means...

There's a saying in Tennessee, at least we say it in Texas, I hope they have it here in Tennessee, ...Fool me once....uh...shame...shame on......uh fool me once, shame...uh...onme, no you....uh fool me twice...uh....fool me once, we don't get fooled again.
-G.W. Bush, speech in Tennesse, 2003

April Fools or not, there is no way on Gods green earth that a bike with a 37" wheelbase is ever going to be a Sport Tour bike. You can put hard rubber tires and soft bags on your XB if you want, you can log 1,000 miles in the next 24 hours on your XB if you want, but your XB is never ever going to be a "Sport Tour" bike.

Buell might make a good and proper Sport Tour bike later this year, or later this week for all I know but it is NOT going to be based on the current XB. Quit dreaming. It aint't going to happen. Any questions?

Hey Ray.. Didn't you read the not designation the factory didn't give the bike.. it's an x-T- not and XB.. I'll bet longer wheel base, pull back handle bars, 95CI V-Twin motor, more support in the deep cushion leather seat, lotsa chrome, stereo, GPS, floor boards, fat bob tank, PBS, Cellular phone, Frame lowers (block that wind), lowered frame (easier to board), full hard luggage, micorwave oven, Cigar lighter, Bat wing fairing up front.. yeah, Buell just borrowed a little from the parent company. What do you think? Bet you can find one close to that description really soon, at your local Buell dealer...

Later,

If it's not got a built in DVD player I won't buy one.
