I'm planning on getting an XB12R and have a GPS unit that I will be using a Ram Mount with. Was wonder if anyone has any pics with that mount on how you installed them?

I have one from my Triumph. In 2 yrs, I haven't found any way to mount it. The GPS sits in my tank bag map pocket : (

I had a ram mount for my videocamera on my Ninja before I bought the xb. I am finding it difficult to find a place to mount anything on the xb. What I can tell you is that the ram mount stuff is very well built and worth the money.

Has any one tried to fabricate a thin bracket that could attach between the mirror and the fairing? I know the accessory would be hangin in the wind, but I've thought that might be one way to skin the cat.

Or instead of a thin bracket, how about an intergal bracket mount/mirror spacer to help visibility issues?

You could definately drill the Iron Machine extension brackets to accept a mounting point. I have them on my bike. They are machined from solid delrin so they should be strong enough to do so. I would still rather have the mount behind the windscreen though.
