I guess I forgot to introduce myself but I am new to the Buell world and lovin it. I just brought home a 96 S1 with 2000 miles on it and a supertrapp system. I have been riding bikes since I was 10 and have wanted a buell since I was 13. Now 17, finally got one!!! Yeeha! Lovin the power.

Someone younger than me! Finally!

Ignore the old farts - their Alzheimers can get in the way sometimes.

Welcome to the family. If you're ever in southeastern MI drop by for a BBQ!

I only wish I'd found motorcycling at 17, I'm 30. I feel like I've missed so much. Count yourself lucky lad, and welcome to the board!

Welcome, Ben. I first rode a bike around 13, but had to wait nearly twenty more years before I got a Buell. Wasted years!

ignore the old farts at your peril . . .age and treachery overcome youth and enthusiasm every time

or, so Road_Thing tells me

Bomber, I prefer to think of myself as "experienced" or "wily" rather than "treacherous"...

hey, did you just call me an "old fart??" After my nap, I may come up there and kick your walker out from under you, Grandpa...

Wily . . .yeah, let's go with that, shall we?

old fart = one who's msart enough to take his Ibuprophen BEFORE the long ride, rather than after!

Welcome to the board Ben. Great to see another Iowan on the Badweb. Stop in to the Buell Cycle Center on Hwy 63, if you ever get over to Waterloo.

Hey Ben,
Do you know Greg Phillips? I've been trying to get ahold of him to see if he wanted to take a little trip to Newfoundland this summer.
If you can track him down maybe you guys can make it down to the Buell Bash next month.

I'm also a new guy too with my 95 s-2 that I got at the end of summer last year with only 3,000 miles, it'll have plenty more by summers end, I live in Aberdeen, South Dakota , anyone close? Need Buell riding partners.

Hey Ben and welcome to the world of Buell! I got into the Buell scene at 19 (will be 23 April 5th), and am hoping to keep in it until I get to a rightful ole age!
1buells2, congrats on the new ride! Seems many people are finding nice classic Buells with low miles, hell my buddy mike picked up a 98 S1W with only 2600 on it!

"old fart = one who's msart enough to take his Ibuprophen BEFORE the long ride, rather than after!"

But not msart enough to psell msart right - is dyslexia a side effect of old age?

Iamike-I do know a Greg Phillips, I don't know if he is the same one you are talking about but the one I know is a Ind. Tech teacher at Lake Mills. I ride a lot with his son Cole. Hopefully it is the same dude.
