When they call it the Castrol curve, they really mean it.

The AMA/DMG does put on a bad race.....you find one WSBK race in Germany that was a cluster and then want to compare it to DMG's cluster this year?? As you wish, doesn't really matter, but Colin was livid for good reason.

You must be watching different races than me. AMA/DMG has put on some of the best racing I've seen in recent years.

Great clip!!!

Edwards is 100% Texan. He'll tell 'em to F off when they deserve it.

Cool seeing Foggy leading and the old ZX7's running, great memories.

Foggy's autobiography is one of the funniest books I've ever read, I highly recommend it.

Or a dozen bikes doing 130 mph duking it out with a parked "safety" car.....

The racing has been great, the race officiating has been mediocre. There is a learning curve for DMG. They are learning from mistakes. You guys can bag on DMG all you want, but as far as the racing, well it's no contest. DMG wins hands down.

Some seem to be under the illusion that prior AMA racing was devoid of such incidents. Mladin almost ended up a greasy spot on the back of an ambulance during one race some years back.

The DMG deranged don't care to be objective.

Seems to me the issue has been resolved. No more pace car. But don't tell that to the DMG deranged.

The safety lights on the tail and dash of each bike at Daytona during the 200 were a welcome innovation by DMG. No credit for that, only derision from the deranged.

DMG/AMA, Is nothing more than a poorly run club race. The state of tune of the race bikes is second rate at best. Can you say watered down for the purpose of moto entertainment? But hay if thats what you think is racing who am I? There are no bragging rights in winning club level races.

The state of tune...

: ?

Why would a racing team not strive for the optimum state of tune for their machine in AMA Racing? That's about the queerest contention I've heard yet.

200 HP isn't enough?

"No bragging rights in winning club races"?

I guess you've never raced at the club level then. No bragging rights? I brag all the time about taking 4th in a lowly CMRA Thunderbike race after having started from the back of the grid.

"DMG/AMA, Is nothing more than a poorly run club race."

Dearest Danny, if you truly believe that tripe, then your mind is 2nd rate at best.

What do you imagine professional racing is about if not for entertainment? DUH!

That is ALL it is about if it intends to make money.

Oh! I get it! You liked it better when it was all about marketing the Japan Inc brands. Your a fan of a few manufacturers running the series for their own benefit rather than more competitive racing among more brands. Well then I can see why your feelings are hurt.

So you would rather watch an unlimited class where the teams could bring whatever they wanted and dominate the entire season. Boy that would be boring to watch. Might as well award the championship after the first practice session.

By the way, all racing series ( cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers, shopping carts, etc.) develop classes and limit the mods to keep things competitive and fun.

I think its pretty laughable that danny jesternut Is so upset about that AMA that he does daily trolls on Badweb. Even funnier to me is that his tone is so angry but then he throws out a to make it look like he is not having a tantrum. I wonder if he is related to buelgrl.

Oh almost forgot...

Sportbike: From least followed to most hotly debated, contested, and watched in one year?

I'd say that is a success.

Like Larry Flynt, you may hate his guts, but you know who he is.

You may hate DSG and Sportbike, but you know who the contenders are, what the W/L stats are, and who's in the running for the championship.

The cool thing is that DSG really doesn't give a crap what the whiners think.

Actually we had that in AMA, it was called Formula Extreme (1000cc) and it was pretty damn cool. Plenty of 100mph power wheelies. No traction control and huge power meant that the things were sliding and wheelied a lot. It really was a blast to watch.

The FX class is where Ben Spies started dominating. I remember watching those races.... I always thought they were better than the AMA superbike races of the time.

Heck yeah, and John Hopkins really got going in that class too.

When all of the bikes have more power than tires, it really seems to even things out. You could make enough power with those bikes without the expensive, exotic, miniscule factory mods that have to be done in a restricted class. Anything goes is cool if tires keep everyone on somewhat even footing.

I think that is why WSBK is stealing fans from MotoGP, because the tires still slide around a bit and you get to see the riders doing amazing things with both tires sliding.
