9 Trillion in debt.

Old People are going to be left out in the cold to die.

Electricity costs will sky rocket under cap and trade.

Young men dying daily in far off lands for no good reason.

The "Commerce clause" being used to regulate everything.

When do the people say "enough"? Leave us alone.

It's time for a constitutional convention to fix Washington. We have left it up to them for too long. It's obvious that it can not be fixed from the inside.

Continuing to send the same people back to Washington year after year and expecting it to get better - moronic.

I don't agree with all your points, but I get the frustration.

I DON'T want a constitutional convention. That will allow the radicals to distort a fine & useful thing into their own permission slip to do....whatever.

Besides, the things they do that torques you off are not constitutional anyway. It's not the document that needs changing, it's the violators of it that do.

Now, I'm quite a bit more concerned that the leftists not get more power ( they have the presidency & congress, bulk of news media & schools... hey! we are F%$^ed! ) but I wouldn't be a happy camper if the radical "born again" types got to write the rules either. ( remember when the dreaded Boosh was going to turn America into a theocracy? it didn't happen. )

You are dead right that having a permanent elite political class is BAD, but it's been that way for years. Everyone bitches about that other state's congress critter, but keeps re-electing their own.

The politicians won't allow term limits, and there is no peaceful way to impose it on them, other than elections. So get active, or at least tell your friends to vote out the guy in office.

You are probably right in that a consitutional convention would be run by the same people who are already in power - and would make it worse.

Maybe we should let the Republican party die off, and the libretarian party come of age?

I love this country and would hate to see the lives of our brothers and sisters go to waist.

You're not going to get a constitutionalist reformation revolution. Most havent even read it since primary school. You might get an angry mob to protest and do something symbolic, but nobody is cutting that first limb off the tree of liberty.
They care more about Michael Jackson than they do about anything that is goin on in washington/government/behind the scenes.

If enough people get hit hard enough in their wallets they will start to question what led them to this. They will vote out their incumbents and seek a better representative where as before they didnt care. Maybe a shift to more 3rd party candidates will start to occur.

We'll have to see how the elections go next year.

I'd suggest you ain't seen nothing yet. I thought perhaps you had and then, after I listened to this Town Hall meeting with AARP last night, I didn't realize all the stuff they had in this bill. Closing American pharmaceutical companies and buying drugs from Israel and China . . .yeah, there's a way to save money.

Be mindful . . . the same folks who want to "manage" 1/7th of the United States GNP could not manage to get two frickin' speakers operating at a Town Hall meeting . . .

Keep and eye on Rahm . . . .

And by the way . . . before the entire staff is gone . . .thank you to the ladies and gentlemen of the C.I.A. for preventing the various attacks that were revealed in the various documents that the Obama administration tried to keep concealed and only Dick Cheney's Freedom of Information Request brought to light . . . 20 planes in 20 U.S. Cities at once?

When does the revolution start?

It already has. The issue at hand is whether it remains peaceful or if it escalates to violence.

TARP
Stimulus
GM & Chrysler bailouts
Healthcare reform
Cap & Trade
Waging war on the CIA
Calling Americans "un-American" "Nazi's" "Terrorists" etc.

Interesting times indeed.

Don't just VOTE - take the time to understand issues and THEN VOTE.

Our system was put in place without regard for the stupidity of the individual - and so many of them vote.

Look at how many people just copy/paste and think they're making valid points... and then look at how many people are actually INFLUENCED by these un-reviewed thoughts.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Zip- ROFLMAO!

I bought that movie after watching, CURSING a flawed copy I had rented. Eastwood's the shizzz.

Ft B said earlier we should all become more Hmong- I agree. Entropy applies to our social/political constructs as it does most everything.

EXCEPT FREEWILL.

I cannot understand everyone's need nowadays, to TEXT each other every frruckin minute of our God given day. This is a sign of our minds and our society dying.

Revolution is a dangerous thing to contemplate, but we must contemplate all things as best we can.

I advocate peace, but donfukkwiddmee. I might not.

Not far from my house there is a little park with large oak trees with plaques in front of them commemorating the local soldiers that died in WW 1. Almost 100 years old now. They are very Hugh
And majestic. Walk down a little further and there are trees for WW2. A little further maybe Korea, ect.
Get down to the end and there are little baby trees from all this gulf sh*t. It kind of drives home the human race has learned nothing this last century. Any one politician seems as crocked as the next. It’s like Steppenwolf’s song “the monster” still rings true 40 plus years latter. Luckily our constitution still makes this a great place to live. God bless the USA.

i started a thread a while back about starting a new party and didn't get very much interest. i might not be a very good leader but i am a very good follower although i have gone out and got a couple little things started over the years. there are quite a few websites about no more incumbents and until people realize that voting in the same old faces is just going to bring the same results, nothing will ever change. i'm guilty about not checking into things cause i don't know where to begin but when told to start in a certain place i will look into it thoroughly.

its quite clear that the people running the country are not really looking after our well being......i have a habit of trying to dig deeper and see who is really benefiting from what they are passing. some times its painfully clear who is making out. 9 times out of ten it is not the people they claim will on tv. i am not opposed to moving out of this country but the food sucks everywher else....

oh and for another political thread that we cant do sh^t about

Smart, monied Americans have been leaving this country for decades. The best place to be an American is overseas. Sad isnt it.
Costa Rica
Vietnam
Thialand
Puerto Rico (still US but not all the bs)
Baja Mexico
Panama Canal
Belize

The boat is sinking, get out whilest you can.
According to the U.S. Department of State, there was a substantial rise in the number of American-born expatriates since 1990, from about 1.5 million to 4.5 million in 2005, to eventually grow to about 6 to 8 million by 2009. Most of the expatriates are retired and live on social security benefits, others are employed in international business, and those with strong unfavorable political views on American government (wikip) I will add myself to those numbers this winter.

It is too late now. Don't worry, all is not lost. It is, however, time to choose sides. Get your soul together.
