So for my Birthday present my husband gives me clues as to what my present is. For the first clue, he pulls out a roll of blue painter's tape...and I'm thinking "Oh yah, I get to paint the house...just what I wanted to do for my Birthday".
But after many wrong guesses at to what it was for, he finally pulls out a set of knee pucks...and then it hits me...

BIRTHDAY TRACK DAY!! Yeah Baby!!
I have to say I have the BEST husband ever!

I just had to share this exciting news!

I figured that would be a good B-day present for a wonderful wife

Don't forget to tell everyone that I got you the Hero Blue translucent plastics too! But I just realized you're going to have to change your screen name, the bike is no longer going to bee (ha ha get it?) the Bumble Buell anymore

So you got her a trackday AND new plastics?

Thanks for setting the bar higher for the rest of us. Now I have to hope & pray my wife doesn’t see this. I can’t afford her birthday if she does.

“Honey, he gave his wife a trackday AND new plastics. I think you should give me a trackday AND a race kit for my birthday.”

Very cool b-day presents tho, I must admit.

Yeah, I didn't think about that...
I'll wait to change my screen name until the bike gets her new plastics on.

I was kinda just kidding. With a screen name like '20xb12s04', I guess I never plan on getting another Buell. I'll jump off that bridge when I get there : )

They're worth it! But...I did get the plastics used (Thanks Sachmo!) and as for the track day, let's just say I know some people who know some people. Best part is, I get to go too!!!

WOW, that is way cool. I was on the track last Sunday and I've asked my hubby to give me a 4 hour private lesson on the track for my next birthday in March. I can't wait. And for the blue plastics, I got those too and they are beautiful.

Have fun on the track and enjoy your new colors.

And Happy Birthday

My wife's been bugging me to get a motorhome for quite a while, so that's what she got.

I can't complain though, she got me a flight in a 2 man paramotor for my birthday, if I'd grinned any more the top of my head would have fell off.

My mate Nick who lives in Austin, got fed up with road trips on his 675 Daytona, & bought himself 650 V-Strom, to keep his mrs happy about the deal he bought her a Porsche Cayman!

Ain't love grand?

With you guys it sounds about like about 60 grand. Ouch. Reminds me now of the song Love Hurts by Nazareth.

Happy birthday!

I know I've asked you before Aub, but how did your SO get into bikes and start riding? Also, what did she start riding on?

It's kind of a long winded story, but...

Believe it or not, she had a bike before I did, and she had it before we started dating (we went to high school together and had been friends for a few years prior to that). It was a 1985 Honda Shadow VT700. I then followed suit, and bought a 1985 Honda Magna VF700.

The Shadow proved to be too tall for her (at that point we were dating, in college, and broke), so we sold the Shadow and bought her a 1987 Honda Rebel 450 that supposedly had a bad starter in it. Easy fix, right? Well, turns out it was the starter clutch idler that was bad, which involved splitting the cases to fix. We didn't have the $1400 to pay the Honda shop to fix it, so we tore the thing apart and fixed it ourselves. Not the typical courtship scenario I guess.

We ended up taking the MSF class together and we've been riding together ever since. That was 8 years, 7 bikes, and over 60,000 miles ago. It's been a great ride! And she is the best riding partner I could have ever asked for : )
