If you have not read the September issue of road-racing world magazine I highly encourage it as there is a really good article about Erik Buell and the factory in it. This article was all positive and it talks about all kinds of buell stuff from the farm house with the prototypes that the pictures of were posted up here a while back to the Author getting to ride a xb12r, 1125r and a bike set up to the exact specifications of Slicks bike. Also a brief history of buell, a program buell uses called "elves" and the process of how the bikes are put together. The author even said he used to race an xb9 so he was very buell positive. Also in the same magazine there is a good article about millennium technologies. | ||

Yeah - back in 2003 Swarts wrote a good 3-piece article about turning an XB9R into a racer and campaigning it. Good insights into some of the bikes on display there in the original barn - including the hand-built prototype VR1000 - fuel in the frame, side-mounted radiators (sound familiar????) This is a really good article - and people CAN get RRW over the counter in CA at Cycle Gear - other places too. If you don't subscribe, you SHOULD!!! | ||

actually the issue I was reading this article in was from my free deployed subscription I did not get the eslik issue though | ||

Donald, If you didn't get that issue and you're still deployed, I can hit up RRW for you and get you a copy. Uhlrich races right here at Willow Springs and I bet they can get that issue since they have almost all back issues available.
