Are you kidding me?

It only takes 8 years to serve a life sentence for killing 270 people before you a release on "compassionate grounds"?

Where's the compassion for those 270 people?

Bear in mind, this was Scotland, where they eat haggis....

Be interesting to hear what the 'Wee Scot', Jackie Stewart, has to say about this. Not flattering, I'm sure.

compassion

Why would you want "compassion" to get in the way of, "...reaching out to controversial world leaders in an effort to improve the United States' standing around the world, which Obama says was damaged by former President Bush's unilateral diplomacy.?"

Can't wait to see how much this boosts our world standing!

The above is SARCASM and obviously does NOT reflect my personal views. The terrorist bastard should have been executed, and if not that, then thrown into a black hole never to see the light of day again.

If there were many American citizens on that plane, couldn't the U.S. dispatch the FBI or CIA to RE-arrest him and prosecute for the murder of our innocents?

THere would be no " grand juries&double jeopardy"(5th amendment) as we never prosecuted him in the first place.

Maybe the plane will suffer engine failure and go down in the heart of Libya.

Any Scottish Buellers here to give insight about a government who "compassionately" releases a mass murderer and terrorist? This insanity seems to have two possible reasons.

1) The Scottish authorities are bleeding heart Liberals. We have people in America afflicted with this self hating disease.
2) Scotland and the oil companies are going to get a sweet Libya oil deal.

Any others?

Ducx1, yes, MANY of the passengers on that flight were US citizens.

Don't hold your breath of the US asking for having him handed over to us to be tried.

Prof_stack, I doubt the plane will suffer any real mechanical issues. It's Qadafi's PERSONAL plane picking this @$$hat up and flying him home.

Roadcouch98, yes, POTUS has released mass murdering terrorists. Amazingly, the MSM has refused to really cover it though. I wonder why that is? <rhetorical>

Since the death penalty was not sought in the beginning... I say, nab him, cut out the cancer which is killing him and lock him back up. Let him rot in a cell as long as possible. That's just a quick comment that came with little thought. Not realistic but I don't care.

I think we should ban the wearing of kilts and the playing of bagpipes in this country.
