I am trying to get back to RTP North Carolina... there is NOTHING to apply for down there in the private sector... Had a good interview up here to hear about next week and looking forward to possible interview with WI National Guard as an environmental inspector... but I hate winter!!! What to do??? I could just pick up and move but then I would be with my best friend from college and her family, not sure how long that would really work?

And that my friend is why I'm stuck in the big city...
At least there's no winter here, and I'm just a hop and a skip to the foothills!

Best of luck to ya!
Recently I've gone to taking care of lawns.
I found that a lot of banks around here were paying tremendous amounts of money to HOAs and cities because of the foreclosed houses they owned weren't in compliance.
I charge them less than the fines they were paying to keep the lawns up to code.
Win win.
I hate it in the worst way, but I'm working.
It'll get better, just wish it was sooner than later...

I have been an unemployed engineer since February. In some ways, it has been a hidden blessing as my wife is employed, we have no children, and our mortgage is paid off. I have been able to work on my house and do some localized traveling (always searching for work of course : ) ).

I am ready to work again but there just aren't any jobs in San Diego. Yet.

At some point I will have to hit myself on the side of the head to get a better idea of what I am gonna do when I grow up. I think Steve Wozniak said that.
