I'm just curious how many people started or still ride a Blast. My first bike was a Blast. I would of never owned my Firebolt if not for the Blast. I rode it for about a year before selling it. I now ride a Firebolt. I'm just wondering if it's a small percentage or not.

I bought one for my wife because she *had* to have one. She never rode it. I gave it to a friend, and from what I understand, his wife is putting it to good use. So that's one more.

The Bikes I have owned through the Years starting in 1975.
1960 Something 5hp Briggs & Stratton Mini Bike
1969 BSA Royal S 500cc/650cc Top End Chopper
1955 BSA Pre-Unit Parts Bike
1971 Triumph Bonneville 650 Chopper
1972 Triumph Bonneville 650 Basket Case
1971 Harley Davidson 350 Sprint Single
1973 Harley Davidson 350 Sprint Parts Bike
1942 Indian Sport Scout Non Military Daytona Speedster
1957 Harley Davidson 165 Hummer Teleglide
1983 Honda VT 500 Ascot Rat Bobber
1965 BSA 650cc Lighting Chopper
1975 Harley Davidson FLH 1200 Police Special, I still have it.
2002 Buell P3 Blast 492cc bought it new. It is the easiest to work on, least amount of maintenance Fun to ride bike I have ever owned. It is slightly modified and I would like to do more Modifications to it. I still have it.
2002 Buell M2Low Cyclone 1203cc bought it new. Fastest Bike I believe I have ever owned (Speed Kills, Not that much into it anymore) loved the Power, as it was a Stump Puller on takeoff. In addition, the way it pulled from 80mph to 110mph would slide you back on the seat (Hold on tight!) The Cyclone was a little to tall and top heavy for me I have a bad back and very bad knees. so after about 2 years I sold it for $4500.00. I really wish I still had it.

I took my Rider's Edge course on the Cube. Saw a woman in my class turn one into a Cube as well.

I bought mine after selling my Sporty 1200 to buy a house and a 3-ounce chipmunk ate up my 850-pound 1982 GL1100 Aspencade.

In many ways, the Blast is the best I've owned because it better fits my riding style/commute

Been riding since 1985 and the Blast is my most recent in the series of bikes I've had since.
Simple, lightweight, inexpensive, and, unlike many here, I actually like my local dealership (service dept = so-so).

I'll probably be "gleaming the cube" until another pseudo-interesting fits-well bike comes along.

I started with a Blast in 2001, with the "trade up to a twin within a year and get 100% trade in value". Then talked out of a Buell and got a Sporty.

Bought an 04 XB12R in 05 then bought a 03 P3 in 08. : )

They both do different things for me and I love em both.

I do like the XB better but that's only cause I have 10X more money into her.

I happened into a HD dealership about a year and a half ago. I saw a 2008 cherry bomb red lightning across the room. It was love at first sight I tell ya. I'd never heard of Buell and never seen such a machine. But $11K, never I said. I started talking to the sales woman who told me about Erik Buell and the elves. Mean while I kept looking at this "Blast" It was affordable, cool looking and not as intimadating as the Lightning. I came back a few days later and Bought it. I rode it for 2 months and couldn't get that Litghning out of my mind. A girl fell in love with my Blast as it fit her like a glove. She bought it, and I put $11K on my home equity line. I would have never bought my bike if The Blast didn't give me a chance to fall in love with riding. The funny thing is after getting to know the sales woman she went over what they put into that Blast (it was used) they only made $500 (before the helmet the included) of that bike. And she said they didn't expect to make money of the Blast, but after my next bike. It worked. Funny they don't have a Blast in there anymore...
Now that I bought my son a bike (that I can't get to run) I really wish I had that Blast.

I bought my Blast used from a friend. It was his first bike too. I never heard of Buell until he brought his Blast over to my house. Not only was the Blast my gate way Buell but also to street bikes. It's just so cheap and easy to ride.
Well because we did not get a new entry level bike this year what Buell will start the ball rolling to be a life time Bueller? I think if my friend would of brought an XB9 over I would of been a little intimidated. A big point for me starting to ride was because I only payed 1,500 for my Blast and sold it for the same amount too after putting 5,000 miles (around that amount) on it. I would of never dropped 6,000 on a lighting at that time never ridden before. Because of that Blast a close friend of mine bought a uly for himself and a Blast for his wife after riding Honda for years.

I had a Blast for about a month. I liked it.

I hadn't ridden in about thirty years, and it was the perfect "re-entry vehicle".

I had absolutely no idea what the world of motorcycling circa 2003 was like.

My last new bike was an English 500cc single, a Velocette Thruxton 500, so I figured might as well start where I left off.

May sound silly, but actually it worked like a charm. I rode the bike for a month or so, and convinced myself that I could still ride. A little.

Anyway, after a month I sold it for what I paid for it, and bought Ol' Yaller, my 2003 XB9S.

The rest, as they say, is history.

I have a Blast, or technically, my wife has it, but I ride it when I'm not on the Ss. I love it - fun w/o getting you in trouble.

Blast was my first bike. Had it about 3 months, took it in for the 1000 service and ended up trading it in and returned home with the XB12R.

A 2000 Blast is my first motorcycle. It helps that I can flat foot it!

I see our daughter learning on the Blast when she's 16. Maybe by then I will have moved onto something else. Who knows.

We have a 1999 Cyclone and 2006 Uly in the barn, neither of which can I reach the ground!
