I skimmed TKV, but didn't see an answer to my question. I have the now super rare non-ottoman pro-series exhaust on my blast. Its a bit rusted up. So I took it off, and have sanded it back down to the bare metal. I have some of the engine enamel primer, some low gloss black enamel, and some clear coat enamel. My question is when I spray the primer, how do I wait for the low glass, and then how long for the clear?

The question should be, how long will that paint stay on my exhaust. The answer would be...not long.

You have to use a higher temp paint than that.

Indy...take that thing to the coater and have it ceramic coated...then it's done virtually forever.

500 is not NEARLY enough.

I agree with the ceramic coating idea.

But you can try VHT if you want to do it yourself. Who hasn't ruined a perfectly good oven baking on exhaust paint? Ha Ha
