Don't have a battery tester. Can I just put the battery from the XB in the Yamaha? I pushed it and it starts fine. So I think it must be a saftey "don't start" doohickey. Trace electric from start switch until you don't see it anymore. Ignition relay, could be alot of things. Go to Home Depot or sears and spend $12 on a digital electric tester. Good luck   Mikethebike72 Posted on Thursday, July 23, 2009 - 08:40 am:        I had a 82 Maxim 550 as my first bike. It was the first bike I rode Deal's Gap on. The bolt handle the Dragon much better. I ended up getting 85000 miles on that bike before a tranny bearing went out. Was cheaper to buy another bike than to fix it.
