I watched a two hour program on the Kennedys this past sunday and couldnt believe all of the dark turmoil they went through. You could argue some of it was self inflicted but not all of it. From Joes death while bombing the germans to the one daughter having a lobotomy performed per her fathers request rendering her with the mind of a child. She died in 2005. Then JFK's death, then bobby and so on. The thing I got from it was that JFK's father while bringing the family great wealth and power did not instill much character in his sons. It was just a downward spiral. I dont care for ted kennedy but you cant say hes a quitter. The baggage he must carry would drive many to drugs and alcohol. Maybe he figured out the cycle. What a bunch of bums! Our Congressman Patrick Kennedy (Ted's son) just got out of a second stint in alcohol/drug rehab. It's OK to be a drug addict and be in Congress now? WTH!! And he stated he was INSULTED when someone asked him if he should step down because of his addiction. He said "INSULTED"!! Of all the unmitigated GALL!! |
