His spirits are good. and he said he really got a lift when he read the emails from everybody. He couldn't beleive it. I ask him flat out how he was doing mentally and he said I am doing ok, my legs just work to good right now. So to me that is good because that means to me that he is gonna try real hard to beat this. He has his diecast VR1000 on the window seal in his room. so he can look at it. I said something about me and scooter getting him a bike if he ever wants to ride again. He says to me " well whats wrong with my bike I told terry to clean it up." I started laughing and I said "ted man your gonna get a brand new shiny bike out of this deal, yours is more than likely totaled, I laughed again and besides you don't want that ol outdated xb9s anyway you surely want a 12," he chuckled and said " nope I want my 9" I said so be it then a 9 it will be. So he wants to ride another day. He is drugged up pretty good and needed to have someone hold the phone for him because he got tired real quick. we laughed a little about all the good drugs they are giving him and such. Scooter he wanted me to tell you that he wants to talk to you but to give him another week or so because he is just really weak. I told him we had been talking everynight and that I talked with cathy for a good while last night. He says he misses you guys. where he is going in atlanta he said they may have internet access and if so he will have his computer moved there so he can communicate with us. I hope that pans out. I let him know that he has friends and that we will do want ever he ask....except kiss his ass....that we won't do. but anything else we are there. I told him about the charity ride that I am trying to put together. He said " no you don't have to" i said "you ain't got a choice this big fat obnoxious butthole is doing it whether he likes it or not" He says " man I am gonna miss it" i said "hell you are the ride is gonna come to you and you will be part of it one way or the other". Man wouldn't that be great to invade some place with a crap load of bikes and people that want to see and say high to Ted. scott and cathy I told him you guys would be here for that so now I have laid your guys butts on the line. He said your kidding me and I said nope they will be here. so we will make this happen. He really wanted to say thanks to everybody and he can't beleive that there is this much caring. I said " its motorcycle people Ted , I know you would do the same for someone" its what we do ain't it. he really started getting worn out so I said well thats cool. oh yeah I also told him about the fund that is going on for him and of course he started to say no as I knew he would . I said eat crap Ted its what is happening and that he had to live with it. I told him I said the same thing 3 years ago when people did it for me but we all need help sometimes. And maybe its old school but it is a help thy brother in times of need. I don't think that should ever be forgotten. I know it ain't chic to care but tough crap. I told him I loved him and then said goodbye. so there ya go. I am my brothers keeper bubba | ||

Bubba, Thanks for the update and don't worry, it's not so much "old school" but "GOOD school". This IS the way it should be with friends. Brian, That's great to hear. Thanks for the update. We're all still praying for him. I second what Dave said (even Dyna? LOL). It may not be the cool tough guy thing, but do unto others. jeff (tlstreak just got back from seeing ted Just got back from seeing Ted, and picked this up and got off a couple of pictures for everyone. _________________________________________________ Ted "Ok, your persistance has paid off! You finally found me in the depths of Frankenstein hospital. It has been REALLY rough here, but it is for the best. My rehabilitation is going to take longer than I hoped. I really wish I could write and talk to you all, but my time and strength is very limited. I am unable to even write this on my own due to my injuries and low strength. I have been continually recieving you emails, calls, and want to say thankyou for all your thoughts and prayers---Thankyou so much! When I am able to get to a computer again, I will write you all. I love you all, Ted Ktistakis " _________________________________________________ I got to sit down and talk to Ted. Laugh even, he seemed to be doing MUCH better spirit wise today than yesterday. There was a night and day difference in the entire feeling of the room. It was brighter and a little laughter here and there. I got to try and explain the Daytona Wrestling match to him. If he had a VCR or something I would take him some videos to watch. I droped off a stack and I mean a STACK of emails. I would say at least 35-40 just in the past 24 hours. His parents were overwhelmed at the response. I told them there would be more, its only been a few days and the story is just now starting to get circulated. Bubba/Ted, My check is in the mail. My hope is that the 'V' you show is that you're working towards victory over what you are going through, my prayers are with you and many others in my mind tonight...
