Why have I never heard of these things before!?

A fuel injected 2stroke.. limited to 30mph in the US but after unrestricting the ecm and exhaust it's capable of speeds up to 60 mph and up to 100 mpg.

$3099 MSRP

I want one.

Matt Sheehan, one of the Buell lead engineers has one of those he picked up earlier this year.

It was hilarious, I was at Hals for a bike show the morning he showed up on it to pick up some parts. He rides in on this little scooter, dwarfed by all the leather and fringe crowd, that was about 10x worse than normal because of the bike show.

He mentioned... "Maybe this wasn't the right day to come here".

He already had a pipe on the thing IIRC. : )

For 2-smoke fun, I prefer the Genuine Rattler Buck-ten.

Out of the box it will do 55. I rode one with a aftermarket pipe and clutch spring. It was power wheelieing @ every stop light. It covers very well comes stock w/ braided lines, wave rotor, stebel horn. MSRP $2699

I own a Genuine buddy. They offer a tricked version of the buddy as well.

Genuine Black Jack

I've been noticing that scooter mfg's are making them rather sporty these days. I think Suzuki has one with the same red, white and blue color schemes as their GSX-R

No license or insurance.. Exactly the reason I'd prefer a sporty 50cc over a slightly faster larger displacement model

49 cc here in washington isnt a motorcycle, not required to adhere to ORV rules for fees, registration, or out of bounds riding rules : D

it is a dirty haven out there, I could ride for hours with no traffic, no cops, no speed limit...

49cc here must be registered/insured but only requires a car license... So we have lots of knobs who no nothing about riding doing stupid things in the traffic... : | End of rant.

I'm not a big scooter fan, I think only Mini's and wheel barrows should have 10" wheels. I do like the 'Prilla that Johnnylunchbox posted though : D
