Anybody ever wash the innards of your helmet? What kind of success or failures have you had? With the hot temps we had last week my EXO 700 has a um... nice hot weather smell to it. Thanks for the input!!

I just toss the liner in with the laundry once a month; drier and all.

Only problem I have is figuring out how to clean my grimy chin strap pads, the ones that are permanently mounted to the helmet...?

In the sink with shampoo(the cheaper, the better), which is a good degreaser, yet easily rinsed out.

I throw the liner and cheek pads in the wash machine and wash it on the hand wash cycle. To dry them, either hang them out to dry or toss them in the drier using no heat.

With the chin strap pads - same as Pammy.

I never put it in the dryer. I would just let it air dry.
