"The most obvious mistake: (mild spoiler) they're in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in DC, when this robot blasts these huge doors down - and then they all walk outside - to the airplane graveyard in Arizona! WTF???"

Actually they are at the Smithsonian at the Dulles Airport even though the movie says DC and they would have walked out onto grass or runway. Stilled loved the movie and will probably see it again this week.

So a movie based on alien robots transforming into automobiles is too "unrealistic" because of impossible setting changes?

I was not complaining just correcting the correction. The movie can be as far fetched as it wants to be for me because it is science-FICTION and based off a cartoon. There is not enough time or space to list all the movies with improbable setting changes the list without them would be even shorter and be mostly documentaries. Can't wait to see it again
