I had to do it. Less than 900 miles in the last three years. Knowing that potential was languishing in obscurity. It's siren song called to me from afar. Begging to be freed. Let loose upon the world. I couldn't resist. I HAD to do it. On Saturday I took her home. She'll languish no more! Timbo |

Sweet bike! I'm really starting to appreciate the tubers. Kinda wish I could afford a S1 to go along with my 9! |

Funny, I just took my chin spoiler off my X1 to make it look more like a S1. Nice looking bikes though. |

Thanks guys! I'm stoked! Timbo P.S. Steve, thanks, I have been practicing doing cutouts lately. Are you the one who has done some of the others around here? If so, thanks for the inspiration. |

OK-really stupid question here...how many S1W's (White Lightnings) actually left the factory that weren't....white? |

A bunch. I've seen Black, Billet Metallic(Silver) and Molten Orange. The silver and orange that I've seen had the Nuclear Blue frames. I don't remember if the black had a blue frame or not, but I think it probably would. I don't know the exact numbers, though. For that matter, I don't know the approximate numbers. I just remember seeing those color combos. |

...how many S1W's (White Lightnings) actually left the factory that weren't....white? 1258 Ice White Pearl, 378 Carbon Black, 295 Molten Orange, 138 Billet Metallic. the frame on my Molten Orange White Lightning is factory black. btw, anybody know where i can get an orange S1W flyscreen in mint condition? Timbo, >> P.S. Steve, thanks, I have been practicing doing cutouts lately. Are you the one who has done some of the others around here? More than likely me. You did a great job -- can usually tell by looking at the tires, as I've always found them to be a pain to make 'em look right.

Ferris; I make absolutely no claims at being an authority, but yours is the first S1W that I've heard of that's molten and black. It must look really good. My favorite color combinations are the Caribbean Blue/White frame S2, The Gray S2-T, the White Gold/Bronze frame '97 S3 and the Amazon Green S3-T. Aw hell, they all look pretty. Even the Parkway Blue isn't that bad(if you like purple). |

Glitch, I've been using Microsoft Image Composer. It came bundled with Frontpage, though I'm not sure what it's called now or if it was ever sold as a stand-alone product. one more; Ferris on the Molten Thong:

Crusty, i can't be absolutely certain that the Molten Orange bodywork on the Thong is original (if you take a look at the pic above you'll note the flyscreen is from an S1, for example). by V.I.N. i KNOW the bike is a White Lightning, and the black paint on the frame is certainly factory-applied, but it's anyone's guess as to whether the tank and twintail are original (altho i THINK they are). i was never big on orange, but i must say that it's perfect for a bike blessed with this much attitude, and altho i wanted at first to switch it out to Ice White Pearl, i think i'm gonna leave it alone. sure wish i could find an orange S1W flyscreen... >>>the frame on my Molten Orange White Lightning is factory black. The black frame tells me ALOT. I'll bet I could almost nail the day and for whom that bike was built. Remind me sometime....I'll bet I can GUESS your VIN. Court |

The molten orange is great and everything, but check out the rear sprocket on Timbo's rig. That is very nice. I've never seen one of those before. Anyone know who made it or where it came from? |
