The lack of personal responsibility and holding ones self accountable for ones actions is probably one of the most common themes in everything wrong with this country. That crosses all political and religious lines.
Conservatives need loud voices like Coulter and Rush to combat the constant barrage of garbage the left excretes. From john stewart saying the US is guilty of war crimes for the attack on hiroshima and nagasaki to the Presidents reverend accusing the government of developing aids and narcotics to keep people of color down and jenine garafalo saying the tea parties were racially motivated.
Complete garbage. We need more people like Anne and Rush exspecially in our school systems. |

You know something like a fast voice-over that says, "ms Coulter's opinions are her own & have no basis in reality"
I have to say also I'm amazed at the linkage between Muslims & the Abortion debate.
What's next? the Jewish people are deliberately destroying the Jello industry for religious reasons?
Hindu's should be banned from having transplants because their Gods have more arms than they really need?
Buddists shouldn't be allowed to fly if they're going to sit cross legged?

RUSH LIMBAUGH, the ENTERTAINER, is a tardtastic jackass when it comes to politics. Everything that is wrong with the GOP can be symbolized by their choosing him as the keynote speaker at their national convention a few years ago. He's a meat.

All the love, bro- you're passionate about things that are wrong, but the Repubs really have to collectively grow a brain-right after surgically removing malignant tumors such as these. Won't work otherwise.

Coulter, Limbaugh, et al are to true political debate as TV "wrasslin" is to classic Greco-Roman wrestling.
Lots of folks think TV "wrasslin" is real too. My great-grandmother did, and Lord help ye if you tried to tell her otherwise.

There is a certain movie by Al Gore that has become required viewing in many schools. AIT is about 10% quasi-science and 90% politics. Unfortunately this is more of a symptom of what is going on in education rather than an example of the problem itself. The real problem is that the education system is becoming a tool of the left to promote all sorts of liberal agenda. A school nurse can't give an aspirin for a headache anymore, but they want to get the authority to take a minor to an abortion clinic without parental consent or even notification. This not only puts the child at risk from a serious medical procedure, but also covers up a crime of statutory rape, or rape. |

Are you talking about the "judicial bypass" procedure? Saying school nurses want permission to take minors to an abortion clinic without parental permission is a total distortion of the issue. School nurses want permission to inform their patients about their legal rights.
As for Gore's global warming documentary? Believe it or not, he is only reporting what the vast majority of the scientific community (actual scientists) believes. That's why it's taught, not because there is some vast left wing agenda to steal the minds of the nation's children.
As for checking the facts behind Rush or Coulter, that's not hard to do. There are many sites out there that devote plenty of bandwidth fact-checking their claims. The problem is, for most followers of the two, disagreeing with them is evidence of bias. It's a catch-22. Anyone can take 5 minutes and do a search for "fact check Limbaugh (or Coulter, or O'Reilly)."
One person can think of Rush and Coulter as great thinkers, and find plenty of people who agree. People who think they are a pair of flakes can do exactly the same thing.
In this case, the fact checking isn't even needed. The tortured logic of the original post in this thread, along with Coulter's obvious misunderstanding of our system of government is all I would have needed to come to my conclusion anyway.

Judicial bypass is essentially the issue. The specifics vary by state, but there have been cases recently trying to give authority for the school to arrange an abortion for a minor without parental notification or going through the courts.

Hansen is known for gross exaggerations and outright lies in his public statements on the AGW subject. |
