the fairing kit on the 1125, is that the factory kit or one from an aftermarket maker? |

How about on a blind corner? The back of a car is easier to recognize as a pace car when you roll up on it dragging a knee hard on the gas coming out of a corner than the back of a motorcycle, when you're racing other motorcycles.
Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled Buell was selected. I question the intelligence of the decision to use a motorcycle for this, that's all. |

Yep, you can easily recognize it... just before you pile into it, 'cause it takes up four or five times more track space than a bike!!!
Race bikes belong on racetracks with bikes not cars.

I hope you guys are right, but I can already hear the whining from the first guy that blows by it, gets penalized, and then says he didn't see it because there was 2 or 3 other motorcycles in between him and the pace bike. |

Oh, and yeah, I'm not really an advocate of the pace car either, not in motorcycle racing. Flags have worked pretty well so far. |

They still use flags.
They're using the bikes to help get things sorted and to reduce down time during the race.
Maybe they'll work maybe they won't but it's worth a try.
