Anyone know a good site for info & parts for a '56 TRW?

Phil:

I just got a book last week on "Rebuilding Brit Twins" . . . let me see if I can find anything. I'd be happy to send you the book to use if it will help.

Just found it . .

BUILDING BUDGET BRITS
A Practical Guide for Refurbishing BSA and Triumph Unit Twins. . . . you can see the contents on the Whitehorse Press website.

Thank you both. Need to verify it, but it looks like I'll be having fun w/ the Amal carb rebuild. I must be a glutton for punishment, right? lol

I'll try to snag some pics of the bike tomorrow & put them up here. From what I saw, it's ~9.5 cosmetically & all original.

I had a '57 TRW that I bought back in 1971. It was Canadian Army surplus, and it had 206 miles on it when I bought it. It didn't have an Amal carb, though. the Carb was a Solex. The bike would nearly always start with one easy kick. I kept it for a year, then sold it to buy a '54 Matchless single.
I have no idea whatsoever about where to find parts. but thanks for bringing back some nice memories.
