Last week I hit the road without a schedule for the first time in many years. Rode, and pulled over to sleep when it got dark. Very good trip.

You lucky dog! Great pics, look the ride has been a great one. I was scheduled to do a ride from GA to Washington state, but the plans fell through. Am very envious!

Thanks man!

All I had was my Blackberry for a camera, and I can't figure out how it zooms, so I was walking back and forward a lot.

The first shot is about 50 miles from my house, at lake Dillon. From there I headed into the desert for a couple days, then back to my mountains through Durango.

Nothing better than riding with no schedule or place to crash Out West, where you can camp damn near anywhere. I did almost get into trouble in the Navajo nation, luckily I found a monument/national park site run by the national park service with free camping! Had camp set up with 15 minutes of light to spare! Cracked a beer and lit a Cuban.

Spatten1, nice pics and it looks like you had a great time. I long for the days I can just take off and to something like that. I hate planning!

The only two things that can get me into the "present moment" are long rides without planning and bow hunting. Get me to my happy place.

3 cubans left. A buddy of mine picked them up in London for me. They are Punch, which is ironic because I love the Honduras Punch too. Nice to have the real ones, they are damn good.
