A friend of my fathers has a dyna that wont start. Has voltage, fuel pressure, spark, but the injectors are not firing.

I'm looking for a good dyna forum to see if I can dig up some info.
I think its an 06 with 1600 miles on it.

thanks in advance

Starting solenoid, bad system relay, but if it was running and now it won't, odds are there's a bad ground somewhere. If I were a betting man, I'd say there was a ground lug pretty close to the battery, I'd start there.

I can't really help much but offer a train of thought...

If everything seems in place, but the injectors aren't firing, it's telling me that the ECM doesn't think the engine is turning when you hit the starter. Could be something like a bad crank sensor?

Not firing, as in no fuel coming out? Or, not firing as in no electrical impulses as shown by a noid light? No fuel coming out could be a clogged fuel filter - pump will run, trying to pump fuel...but nothing getting through the screen. No noid light, check crank sensor.

Just talked to my old man again, hes fixing it for him.
Put a noid light on it and got nothing. took his good o-scope home (hes a ASE master tech and owns his own shop) and is getting a good signal at the injectors. If he puts his hand over the throttle body he can get it to barely run, like its super lean.
Leads us both to think its a fuel pump.
He has a full 12 volts at the pump can hear it run just not sure what PSI its putting out.

Found the H-D tool thats adds a shrader valve so you can check PSI but he is having a hard time finding a dealer that will sell it to him. Would like to check the PSI before just throwing a pump at it like the dealer would.

Get the part number for the schrader valve adapter and talk to the Tool truck guys. (mac, Snap On and Matco) chances are they have it. I know Mac sell speciality wrenches for the Big Twin rocker boxes. Hope this helps

Pull the pump and check the pickup screen/filter. That old, and that few miles...chances are it's gummed up and clogged.

check the pump hose closely for a small pinhole, internal of the tank.
it is easy to check.
this is not uncommon

Great, thanks guys.
I think he is going to pull the pump out one night this week and check the filter and sock, I'll have him check the fuel line also.

Thanks again.
