Hey Court, why don't you start at the Easternmost point in North America (Cape Spears) sometime during the first week of August? That way you could tell the Parkway Blue story at the same time.
I am nothing if not persistent

I could be wrong but,

Wasn't the story something like this, the brochures and ad material was all printed before the bikes were painted. By the time the paint arrived it was the wrong color so Buell just stuck with the color that had arrived.

Is that the short version?

Thats where I'd start Crusty - at Cape Spear.

Anyway care to claim credit for this? One of you sent it to be several years ago. It was taken at Mid-Ohio. I'd like to use it but can't find the name. If not, I 'm going to need a really good high res pic of a parkway blue S2.

I've got a funny story about painting our house. Blue was one option, test painted one side of the garage, after it dried in the evening light the blue wasn't, the house is now a sort of tan brown color. I understand and appreciate "supposed" versus actual results. : )

Seeing his good friend saddened by the result of what was to be a fantastic new paint scheme, Court consoled Erik, "Don't be blue."

BluzM2's S2 actually is Parkway Blue, one of the few that got the right paint. When he was looking to get some parts painted, he had a heck of a time finding anyone who could do the real Parkway Blue. Any guesses as to who came to the rescue?

This reminds me, next Homecoming I hope to be able to introduce my self to more of you folks. The people I've met because of Buell have been top notch: Brad(BluzM2), Spidey(who likes to show me which finger he broke helping me lift Brad's S2 onto the trailer), Don from New York, the local Hooligans(names with held to protect the guilty), EZ(I still have the cards you sent when I was in the hospital),and Erik himself(Julie promises to behave and not scare you again, although it might be safest to go ahead and build that short Uly for her, anyway). I know there are many others I've neglected to mention. Thanks to all for being the best group of misfits out there.

Court, hopefully next Homecoming, we can do more than say "Hey", maybe go for a ride to get some lunch...Know anywhere that serves a good flounder?

I saw that bike at the inside pass at Mid Ohio. The only thing that looks the same now is that seat. Looks like its off a dyna.

Yes; and an interesting story it is. Hopefully, I'll get to read it in a book sometime in the near future.
How's the healing process coming along?

I hope to see you usual cast of characters at Homecoming. Plotting a big bike tour as soon as the house sells. Firing up the R.A.N. and maybe get the bike shipped to Europe. Watch for errand pics of the orange bike , maybe even at Red Square, Moscow RU. No lunchbox stories though; sorry.
