and I CHEAT!

No vices and hammer or hacksaw for me, No Sir.

How about a 2600 watt industrial LASER? YEA now THAT’S the ticket.

Steel? How about 10 gauge T304 SS? Suckers never gonna rust!

It took longer to draw it up than to cut it and it’s stiff as can be.

I plan to either polish it or powder coat it black, just for looks here.

Jody run time on that little part in 10 gauge SS was right at 25 seconds. How many I could get on a 10' X 5' sheet I'm not sure BUT I think I can safely say "A Whole Mess" of them!

It'd take longer to get the parts off the machine table and load another sheet than to cut I think.

Oh yea Matt it's a IR laser...not much to see just hot sparks from the bottom of the sheet.

My hubby has a plasma cutter and he did something very similar. Ours are flat black and straight across, nothing real fancy. Yours look nice. Having those lights, esp at night, definitely brightens things up

I could only cut a couple. And I'm sorry but no more, I only used them to set up the tech tables on the machine. I wish I could cut more but a laser like this isn't cheap to run...or buy! About $800,000.00 !

I was going to make it out of a hunk of 3/8" ALU I bought at Fastenal for less than $10.00 IF you can use a saw I can send you the drawing files as a DWG, DXF of a bit map. You could lay that out on the alu and cut it with a saw and file the edges smooth. That's what I'd plan to do.

Glitch I'll get out to ya tomorrow as I have the file at work and will need to download to home! It may be better for me to print it out 100% size and snall mail it to you as it'll be hard to scale it in paint. Auto-CAD works so much better for that!

Mark sent you an E-mail
