I Had the $12.95 a month membership and now Napster has out done themselves...It now cost me $15 every 3 months and I also get 15 free MP3 downloads ever 3 months. Not a bad deal to do it the legal way for a mere $5 a month.

It equals to buy 4 CD a year. Best part is you don't have to buy one CD to get 5 songs you like.

I use to download for free untill someone not far from me got busted...I don't know them but they got hit hard.

What's the selection and sound quality like? I was thinking of signing up for a service like that.

Or you can buy the songs you want for ~$1 each from iTunes or Walmart. That way you only pay when you buy.

I'm a fan of eMusic.com . I've got a grandfathered subscription
that comes in about 25 cents per song. Independent lables, but,
I'm not supporting the RIAA machine by using it.

Should have mentioned that after you use your 15 free MP3 downloads you get every 3 months each song cost 99 cents to buy...The selection is awesome and the sound quality is great.

I used to download music like a fiend... but not so much anymore. $5 a month for music would be a lot for me.

Between what I already have, the satellite radio in the car, and stuff like Pandora on my iPhone, I just have very little need anymore.

Once in a while I'll buy a song that I forgot how much I love, or something new that my band decides to play, but that's been about it for the past couple years.

Sounds like the new Napster deal is a steal if you download enough stuff already.
