No problem getting a clutch cable, I could buy rearsets today, but not the ones I want. I try to support my local dealer because they sponsor our B.R.A.G club and they give a 10% discount to B.R.A.G. and H.O.G. members. That comment came as a result to Dyna's response to my comment on the cam bearings.

Jan, I just need the install sheet(s). Or, if your's are installed I'd love a picture of how your rear brake reservoir is mounted.

Last time I talked to Tat he did not have the instruction sheet anymore.

Mikej,
How much do you want for the M2? I have a possible buyer and I am all out of used Buells!

I was asking $5500. I know I won't get that.
Includes:
+ Buell c/f air filter with K&N filter element.
+ Stock airbox still available.
+ X1 turn signals front and rear. Bendy/flexy is nice at times.
+ WileyCo stainless steel exhaust.
+ Stock exhaust still available.
+ Immobilizer alarm system. Misplaced the pager unit and charger, so will remove the alarm if desired. Have the trigger devices, just not the pager unit. Can send the pager unit and charger later if/whenever I find them (boxed them up two moves ago and haven't seen them since)(Probably with the service manual and parts book that I haven't found yet either).
+ Ventura Rack system, short rack, tall rack, one bag, don't have the grab rail.
+ Aux. lights mounted to the forks. Mostly suitable for cross-traffic and going slow at night on gravel roads. Powered with a relay switch setup.
+ Aluminum billet Buell tach kit.
+ Electrical terminal block mounted behind flyscreen to run electric options with. Mounted by drill/tapping into the side of the metal dashplate (not possible with the newer plastic dash plates).
+ Genuine DCBRAG American Flag Buell tank letter overlays. Very rare and possibly add much worth to the bike. (Hey, I gotta try.)
+ Remains of the 7-year extended warranty with or without a money back guarantee depending on who you talk to or who you believe or who your attorney is.
+ Probably some other stuff I've forgotten about.
Has a bit over 20,000 miles on it, maybe 25,000 or so, haven't turned it on for several months now. I'll go home tonight and put it on the charger and see what it has.

I'm looking to get a cruiser of some sort, so possible trades are an option. Still have a short lean on the bike so will need that taken care of in any transaction to clear the title.

Also have the '95 S2 possibly available. Lots of stuff in transition currently.

Thanks.

Gotta love Buell resale value!

Boy, some of you guys have it rough, having to sell your motorcycles due to lack of availability of those elusive race ECM's. Fortunately that module is for later bikes, as my '91 RS (slightly out of warranty) decked out with S2T bodywork (slightly out of production) with Aerocharger (seemingly out of business) doesn't require one. If I ever have the insurmountable problem of either using such sources as the BADWEB to get help or to just sell that Buell POS 'cause HDI only cares about it's bottom line, well I'll just give it up and sell. Well, after I fix the turbo, and find those S2 parts, and get that rear brake to work better, and.... I just realized that if I try to sell it, I might LOSE $!

Sorry guys, for the sarcasm, it runs in my family.

Yes there are problems with HDI and parts availability and on and on, but I can't imagine that riding some other brand of bike because of these problems could possibly be romotely as much FUN!

"YOU ARE A GROWN UP. ACT LIKE ONE."

I never cared for this phrase on the Buell website as it is included in their disclaimers for Buell Pro-Series performance parts.

Not to mention, it made me feel like HDI was "talking down" to Buell owners as they did not feel it necessary to include this statement with any of HD's Screamin' Eagle performance parts.

In as much as I may have missed something along the way, I don't see where HDI made HD reduce their line of Screamin' Eagle products like they made Buell do. WTF is with that?

You can draw your own conclusions but I don't care to be talked down to by some "Corporate Snob" that thinks we are children. Gee, we must all be a bunch of spoiled brats living off our parents in comparison to the "Real Biker's."

After this experience, I will invest my disposable income where I get treated with respect and get my monies worth, not what some Corporate Jerk feels I deserve for buying into their Hype. Translation: This 55 year old child is selling out of HDI's dream and buying back into Mine.

And that children concludes my rant.

Bill -- you know as well as I do that the nunmbers of non-current Buells look like compared to non-current HDs, and it wouldn't be tough to imagine why buells and their parts are being treated differently . . . .

I think the statement was intended to be a little . . .. well, nope, never mind, however they intended it, it didn't work . . .I'll not get into trying to explain someone else's poor commo skills .. . this entire thread bears out a long held suspision of mine . . . . .. if Buell suffers, the cause is most likely to be not Buell

And some of us are selling our bikes before they get repoed, because we haven't worked since April of last year.

Ferris...Yep, I did and it is one of my life's philosophies.

One of the others is "If it is to be, it's up to me." Not that I even remotely believe my rant (which I ended earlier) will change the way others think, I just feel it is my right to be heard. Who knows, perhaps some future decisions will be effected by the way folks react here about the recent ones. Then again that may be as unrealistic as believing a politicians wanton campaign promises.

Incidentally, really enjoy reading what you have and are doing for the riders on the west coast. Have referenced your efforts and successes many times for the folks attempting to put something together here in the Hinterland. Keep up the good work.

Nev, that's mighty decent of you to say, and you've got me feeling a little guilty for my earlier jab at you.

i too have had periods over the years where my Buell passion faltered, for several reasons, most having to do with what's going on in MY head at any given time as opposed to anything substantially wrong with my bike.

about this time last year, with a major assist from my good friend Don Sabatino, i renewed my vows and bought a SECOND Buell, and i now know with passionate conviction that there'll always be a Buell motorcycle in my garage.

i love ALL bikes, Japanese, Italian, German, or otherwise, and feel fortunate to be an enthusiast at a time such as this. altho with two carbed tuberosities in the garage i don't have to worry about keeping stocked on FI ECM's, i'm pretty confident that there will always be a source, factory AND aftermarket, for the stuff to keep our fleet up and running.

again, thanks for taking the high road in your last post, something that i usually try to aspire to but don't always succeed in.

ride to lean,
Ferris : )

Blake, Bomber, Ferris & Henrik...

Thanks for the support during my recent rant.

In as much as I am still miffed about the discontinued performance parts for 2002 model bikes, only the Race ECM effects my X1 over the long term so I bit the bullet and ordered a spare

The ironic part is I will most likely never need it but still consider it it cheap insurance for both myself and any future owners. LOL

Now that that is out of the way, I do believe it is time to get on with the rest of the mods I have been planning. Fortunately, the aftermarket satisfies all my needs for this venture.

Have a great day!
