Holy balls I hope this is true. What do you get when you cross Eslick and Thursday Bike Night at the HD Museum on June 4th? A damn fast game of keep up on 94 east bound. AMA Superbike rules allow replacing pistons with stronger ones (as long as they don't weigh less) and it also allows modifications to valves etc. Since Shawn Higbee and Walt Sipp are already racing in that class, it's a good bet that they're working (probably partly with co-operation of Buell) on developing components that can allow them to increase compression, RPM's and power. You'll notice in the letter that EB mentions (assuming it's real) that they'll still have a displacement disadvantage. If they were really making an homologation bike (as opposed to modifying some components to improve - within limits - the performance of the existing bikes), they'd likely up the displacement to the 1200 cc limit. Assuming the letter was legit, I think it refers to parts rather than a new model. | ||

I think John is saying that HD is having a bike night the night of June 4th. They are having one right now as I type this. Danny Eslick would be guest of honor. He has qualifying thats day. If time permits he will be at the Museum for bike night. I also will have a T-shirt made. It will be seen Friday.  | ||
