The convenience is the major reason that some/several/many race teams have machined a trapdoor setup into their XB style cases. It all depends on one's goal and needs I guess. Side question: what would it take to convert a 2000-2003 XL to a rubber mount? Got a side project thought going, but would prefer it to have both the rubber mount and the trapdoor in a Sportster format.
