Lol I got to ride this thing and it was the sloppiest thing i have ever ridden, The sad thing is that i was up in Colorado at the engine builder and they had one already in for port work to gain more hp, Like 100 hp to be exact! now the one thing i like is the heads have a oil fed port that goes in the head around the valve's to cool and further lubricate the valve stems behind the valve seals!!

NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!

Give it a fast action throttle and clip-ons or superbike bars and that thing will transform it self. for me the bars are way too wide and the throttle cam way too slow.

It looks great and was fun to ride but needs minor improvements at a minimal cost

I'm talking the XR1200! and from the original post with the oil cooled heads I think he was talking the XR1200 too.

Ok, cool. I'm not up on the tech talk with it, I've just seen it at a couple of dealerships. Hasn't made me want to whip out my wallet.

If he's talking the XR1200, he's nuts or rode a bad bike. I rode it and loved it.

I'm waiting for a test ride on one. Everything I've read has said that, despite the weight, it's an excellent motorcycle. I can imagine it's not for all folks, though.

The Sportster is 160lbs heavier then a Buell. The XR1200 is all show.

The XR1200 I own is the finest sporting motorcycle Harley has ever built and may be the nicest standard motorcycle available today. Styling wise it is by far the nicest standard. It is very much like the ULY in its performance envilope on the street. SWEET

I wouldnt call it junk... just because its different than your bike.

Doubt it would eat as many valves as your x1 has.

I rode it and liked it. It is an 80hp bike that weighs 560 pounds, so if you were expecting a 160hp bike that weighs 400 pounds, I can understand your dissatisfaction. Would you like any 80hp 560 pound bike? I somehow doubt it. Really, what were expecting when you rode it?
