Looks like something that came out of a religious shrine in Thailand.

Methinks he may have been rear-ended once or twice.

At first I thought it was a Japanese Dekotora truck.

Obviously you whippersnappers are too young to remember the decked out Harley's of the 60's and early 70's.

They would build these big elaborate fantail kinda things that attached to the back of the big dual sprung seat, with lights everywhere.
The rest of the bikes were done in a similar fashion, and they'd wire in extra batteries on the saddlebags.

Usually seen in east coast urban areas, ridden by mostly African American guys with various club affiliations.

These were H-D Duo-Glides and early Electra-Glides.

Coolest thing ever! especially to an impressionable motorcycle-crazed early teenage kid! Wish I had some photos.

True that Leftcoastal. They were everywhere back then, and cool too.

The lighting in 'Da Museum' SUCKS for taking pics... Here are some 'digitally enhanced' pics taken just before the 105th:

Some limited (but COOL) Buell coverage (taken when I visited over Christmas):

Just think what one could do with LED's and todays technology...
