I just finished installing my new turn signals with running lights yesterday. I also have a tail light modulator, with a couple of LED tag lights tied to the brake. It's a little confusing, and I'm a terrible electrician. Add all that together, and this is what you get:

How's that for messy!

At least you got teh crimp connectors. I'm no good with the wiring stuff either, and just end up using a pile of electrical tape.

Has anything started on fire or melted yet? If no, then you did good!! Does it work? If yes than you did good!!

LOL, no, no fire yet, and amazingly enough all the lights ARE functioning the way I envisioned. I should probably go back and tape up the more exposed connectors just in case they get wet.

Hopefully tonight I can make a video of the lights in action and post them up. I had to customize the running lights a bit to make them legal, and the effect is kinda neat... red with an unintentional amber halo.

That looks like most of my wiring jobs. I've got stuff tapped into lines that are tapped into other lines and spliced with others. I've got electrical tape, crimped connectors, vampire connectors, and some things soldered together. It's ugly, but it works.

Did you leave yourself the capability of removing the modulator on the roadside?

If it goes tit ups, you need to have some sort of lighting.

Curious to see the video.

Dielectric grease on everything! I've got all sorts of improvisational wiring on my bike and never had issues with it.

Strategically placed fuses help too, just in case..

Ha, well, I gave it one last check late last night, and lo and behold my brake light has stopped functioning. I swear it was working when I first tested it. So I went down this morning to take another quick look, and NONE of my flashing brake lights were working. And of course, I was like WTF? So I kept bumping the brake lever, and finally they ALL lit up again. So, I've got a loose connection I need to take a look at.

Monkey, yes, nothing is hardwired. That's one of the reasons it's such a mess... it's all a mess of crimped plugs and adapters. I didn't want to damage the stock wiring.
