Like most leftists, Susan Roadkill has an incorrect understanding of political spectrum.
It isn't communism on one end of the spectrum and fascism on the other.
There is total government on one end of the spectrum and the total lack of government on the other. Total government includes socialism, communism, fascism, dictatorships, monarchies, and religious oligarchies. Total lack of government includes anarchy and in small doses tribal and family communal.
The founding fathers realized that a little government was necessary since total anarchy did not provide sufficient social structure to be stable. They sought to create a stable society with the least amount of government possible.
Taken to its extreme, conservatism leads to greater and greater degrees of smaller government. It doesn't lead to fascism. Conservatism is the antithesis of fascism.
Taken to the extreme, liberalism leads to total government. Take your pick as to which flavor (communism, fascism, socialism, dictatorship, etc.).
I would agree with her assessment on Bush being like Hitler only in that he worked to move the society toward a greater degree of total government. Additionally, I would state that Obama has pushed the society toward total government more in 100 days than any other leader in history.
So, to sum up her argument "your guy is dumb, but my guy is the dumbest in history!"
