Too bad it's clear across the country from me. We need an East Coast variant!

I was thinking the same while reading the www.motomarathon.com website today.

The thought of me setting up an version around Asheville NC area is going through my head.

The competition aspect is pretty made up, but you could either ignore that, or make some refinements if you really wanted the results to mean something.
Or maybe you just run one his way and see how it goes. Seems there has been a lot of long, slow thought in getting it to this point.

I miss off-raod racing, but not enough to get into track racing.
I really just want to do a very sporting ride with like-minded folks.

My Uly would be perfect for this, despite his praising of (sponsor) Ducati.

The seat on my '06 Uly is the best cycle seat I have ever been on!
Even better than the aftermarket Sargent set I put on a Ducati ST2.

If only I could turn the "heat" feature off on hot days, though!

Looks like FUN!

I think a great place might be Buena Vista, VA. From there you could go a different direction on the Parkway and do some amazing loops.

I know a few really good roads in that area.. It's not far from me.. I'd be happy to help lay out the routes..

Of course, I'd probably be happy to do it just to get out and ride some of those roads again..

Arcticktm, Like I posted on the Uly section, interesting. I'm not far from you. Depending on schedules, we could meet and take about this. There are a lot of good roads in our region.
