I got that thing too, I put it to the side to fill out later, and forgot about it. I need to dig it up now.

I signed up for the 12 bucks. comes with a fairly decent bimonthly magazine. I got a book too but it was only $10. It was a decent read also.

It was about 2-3months before I got the offer for the free leather jacket if I join.Real deceiving ways.

Did the letter come from Hopkins, Minnesota with a 553xx zip code? Sounds like another front for the "Sportsmans Club of North America", "Handiman's Club of North America", etc..

I've got a couple of those. File 13. Not much of a joiner but I do belong to the AMA and the AMCA(Antique Motorcycle Club of America).

They all come from the same place. I have got the Fishermans Club, Handy Man Club, Motorcycle Club, Sportsmans Club, American Hotrod Club and a few others over the years. Never have joined but I do use the free notepad you get!

I bought the basic membership a couple of years ago because I like Rider magazine. I didn't realize at the time that it only came every other month as a member. Later I got a regular subscription so I could get it every month but for the next year I still got the every other month one too.
It was tempting to get the full membership because then they send you products to test but I have too many other things to spend the money on.

They pissed me off last year, I subscribed, they kept sending unsoliciated books.
I asked them to stop, they didn't. They kept sending stupid books (most worthless and poorly written....).

I let my subscription lapse. Good riddance.

We did purchase a life time membership and my hubby did get a free leather jacket. And it is NICE. With that membership there is no additional monthly cost. If you want to test the items they have, you keep them. You do have to sign up to test items.

We did get sent a book at one time but we sent it back and haven't been bothered with any more books. I like their magazines too.
