So Duncan posts a thread a couple of weeks back about a trip he made to an Arizona burger place called "Heart Attack Grill".

I'm sitting down to eat last night and turned on The Travel Channel and low-and-behold....there's a show on extreme foods. Where are they at? You guessed it.

The owner is actually a doctor who was a nutricianist! Anybody who eats the triple or quad bypass gets a wheelchair out the door by their fav waitress. Anybody over 350lbs eats for free!

Here's a post to their picture page
http://www.heartattackgrill.com/pictures.html

There was a show on after this called Man V Food. Another show where a guy tries to eat various challenges. He tried to eat an 8lb Burger in less than an hour at a place in Memphis.

I'm hungry.

You ever watch "Supersize me"

It was on tv here the other day with French subtitles, my wife sat with her mouth open, stunned, through the whole thing, saying "but how can they get like that?"

She's not been to the US yet.

Man vs Food is a good show. Sometimes the challenges seem easy, some times I have no idea how he can get even as far as he does.

He ate this curry that is said to be one of the hottest you can get. The dude making it has to wear goggles and a gas mask because the spices are so potent. It looked painful.

Stats on the 7.5#er...

If you can finish the "Kookamonga" Burger in 60 minutes, without aid from others, you get the burger for free! You also get your picture on the Hall of Fame!

FAQ

How big is the Kookamonga burger?
Our Kookamonga Burger is 4lbs of fresh ground-chuck, two pounds of our custom made hamburger bun, and one and a half pounds of lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and cheese...SEVEN AND A HALF POUNDS TOTAL...but the fries are optional.

How do you cook the Kookamonga and how long does it take?
We use 80/20 ground chuck then we cook and season it exactly the same way we do our regular burgers... it just takes a whole lot longer - about 40 minutes longer in fact.

How many people have eaten the Kookamonga all by themselves? 5 people have eaten the burger in under 60 minutes. Patrick Bertoletti in 11min 5sec, Jeremy Payne in 53min, Joey Chestnut in 7min 36sec, and Roger Robinson (THREE TIMES) in 57min. & 30 min. and Jason Smith in 45 min.

How many calories are in the Kookamonga? Well, let's add it up;

Ground Chuck-8,960 calories/176g fat

Bread-2,464 calories/35.6g fat

American Cheese-848 calories/55.2g fat

Tomato, onion, pickles, lettuce-85 calories/0g fat

We have a place up here in Neenah that has a 2.5lb burger that is actually very good. Go in and split it between 3-5 people. The place has great food.

Come on up and I am sure I can meet you there and maybe a few other WI riders too. It is a fun place with plenty of stuff to do besides pigout on burgers and garlic fries and have a frosty barley pop or 2.

the heart attack grill ranks up there as probably one of the best burgers i have ever eaten! each patty are a half pound of beef. i had the double bypass a 2 pound burger. after eating it i realized i could have done the triple. but i don't think i could handle the quadruple. that is one big mammer jammer! oh yeah the atmosphere was ok also.
