Newfie,
If I can attend(work issues pending) I should normally have a spare bike available for fly in riders.

Thanks for the offer Dan,

But its really not about the destination (Not downplaying the Homecoming) but the journey to get there is where the adventure lies.

If I am going I will be riding the S1.

Any clue as to when BRAG will announce the agenda for the Homecoming?

Nevco,
I can tell you that Saturday will be at Road America. Beyond that it's anyones guess but Ukes' and Hals will probably be in there 2 of those days.

Bill just got word from Uke's that we will be hosting a battletrax at Ukes and Bubba Blackwell will be there also putting on his show. The date for that is going to be Friday 4th.I have a call into Peggy as we speak for more input.I'll let you know as soon as I know.

Thanks guys. I assumed they would do a BattleTrax event, but never would have imagined Bubba Blackwell even though it makes sense.

The primary reason for asking about the agenda is for those that have to make Go/No Go decisions based on family, work and limited vacation time. You know, a priority thing.

Not to mention many employers require folks to schedule vacations very early in the year and considering the Homecoming follows a major holiday, the typical Bueller may not have enough seniority to get that week off without really pulling some strings.

In my never-so-humble opinion, the more you post and the sooner you do it, the greater the attendance will be.

Newfie...No sweat. You CAN do both!!!

Just plan on the trip to Wisconsin like you did last year. Then when planning the Newfie Adventure, schedule the rest/lunch stops near your customers.

All you need to do then is pop in, make a quick sales call and get on your way. Nobody is going to notice, especially your employer. LOL

Hey Dan, you want to swing thru Waterloo and go up with us?
You can stay at my place, just remind me to tell Penny BEFORE you pull into the driveway this time!

Ride to the edge!

Seeing as I live here in Milwaukee, I will be attending certain events (when I find out what they are). I am looking forward to running battle trax again. Ukes was a tight course last year.

There are some really fine hotels & motels in the area near Hals. Much closer to the action than Racine is.

I dont believe a host hotel has been named yet, but somehow I seriously doubt Brag is considering anything near racine. They usually score some decent digs.

Dyna,Newfie and Spidey are looking for the free thing. And the host hotel will be Lake Lawn in Lake Geneva.

Lake lawn isnt far from east troy.

And after seeing how people were reluctant to ride any distance from Racine because they all traveled a good distance just to get here & were tired. Its pretty damn far from the epicenter of anything going on.

Kinda like going to florida because you have always wanted to attend bike week, but you get a hotel in Tampa.

Everything thats going on?????You don't know whats going on other then what I have posted.Alot is going to be based around dealers and a factory tour and two battletrax's.Thats what I know of so far.I know they are working on a dinner, most likely at Lake lawn and Bon fire.

Psst read it again...I said ANYTHING going on, not everything.

And based around dealers, factory tours etc. If you stay at Lake lawn you are close to East troy for the tours, the dinner is right there, Hals isnt far away etc.

Stay in Racine & you have what? Ukes..wow.

You like Racine because you live there, other people arent as impressed by it. The town sucks as bad as Kenosha does. No night life other than your typical bar bs, no decent roads, too many ghetto neighborhoods.

Hew Spidey and Newfie here is something to consider. They are opening this new ferry between Michigan and Milwaukee. It will cross the Lake in 2.5 hours and iliminate any need to ride through Chicago!

Might be pretty cool way to save some time and relax a bit.

I'll be there. Haven't been back to the nest before, and now that I'm the proprietor of American Sport Bike, I'm pretty much obligated to attend. Bummer, eh?

As much as I'd like to ride a bike from San Diego to Wisconsin and back, I think I've got to be gone from the shop for the minimum amount of time possible since Joanne will have to hold the fort down alone while I'm gone. I think that means I have to take the truck with the bike in the back : (

Truck with the bike is the smart thing to do. Thats one hell of a cruise, & in early june the weather can be anything from 30 degrees to 100, you never know.
