A quick side note:

To Rich G., again I would agree with Aaron in the fact that Brian was a great head porter, and all of our CNC heads are designed around his best work. But we've already proven time and time again over the last six months that the CNC can do it better, faster and more consistantly than any human on the planet could ever hope to.
The time it takes to finish a set of heads after the CNC machine is finished with them is very minimal (45 minutes a pair worth of light sandroll time). It's very simple finish work and has nothing to do with the shape or funtionality of the port. An interesting fact here though, lest you think we would or could fall short when it comes to specialty applications. Zeb Hill, our newly promoted Shop Boss, hand ported a set of raised port castings indentical to the set Brian did for Susan's Land Speed S1 for a drag-racing customer of ours. Result: four CFM better than the set B. Nallin completed less than six months ago. Don't get me wrong, there's no disrespect toward Brian here, just trying to let everyone know you're still in great hands. After a year of apprentice work under Brian, Zeb is going to make a name for himself in this industry - I have no doubts about that.
Remember, five years ago Brian was just a kid nobody had heard of looking to help his brother go a little faster at the drag races. Humble beginnings friends, humble beginnings.

Thanks again for all the support and well wishes!
Justin "I got what you need" Schilling
Director of Sales and Marketing

P.S. To anyone who read my original post and took the chimp comment to be anything other than an apparentely bad attempt at humor - I apologize. I simply meant to illustrate the simplicity with which a set of heads is finished after coming out of the machine with a perfect copy of Brian's best ports. I didn't mean to cheapen the art of head porting, nor discount the contribution guys like Brian have made to the overall well-being of this industry and the quality of its products. If it weren't for guys like Brian and Wes Brown we'd all still be riding around on the 85 hp machines the factory sold us. So again I apologize, and hope anyone who has any questions about the transition at NRHS, or what it means to the continued quality of our products I sincerely hope you will call me. The number's 303-833-4500 and I'm here Monday thru Friday 9-5.

I believe the saying is,Evil like cream, will eventually rise to the top!Not hard work.By the way Justin,if you screw orders up like you did mine and a few other people I know,Im surprised NHRS stays afloat, maybe you can get one of those finger painting chimps to work on your shipping desk....HHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Uh, it'd be nice if we could all cool it here. Maybe there's some behind the scenes type of bad blood gushing here, but we might just be taking some stuff way out of it's intended (though not necessarily apparent) context.

Im not trying to bash NHRS,im sure they will do fine with their products and porting. But I want to be Brutally Honest also, and NHRS wouldnt be where it is now without someone to do a head and set the machine up to copy it.I myself will seek out the MASTER HEAD PORTER,and he will do my heads, thats my option, and my choice. Now that was said..........LETS GO RIDE!

Im not trying to bash NHRS

If you're *not* trying, I'd hate to see what it would look like if you *were* trying.

If, on the other hand, you're implying that you do not mean to bash NHRS - then frankly, you're not doing so well

>>>?I myself will seek out the MASTER HEAD PORTER,and he will do my heads,

Good news - you are less than 90 miles from him.

Better news, inference that anyone from NRHS would say anything unkind about either Wes Brown or Brian Nallin immediately strips your opinion of any credibility.

These are an interesting pair of guys. Not only are they very talented, they are two of the nicest folks you'll ever meet.

I've never owned a set prepared by either, but I am aware of their skills.

I have, however, met them and if I'd never tossed a leg over a motorcycle would be proud to count either of them among my friends.

Tossing out those kind of comments is like tossing bricks through windows. It provides nothing useful, help no one and can not be undone by stepping inside and tossing it back the other way.

I'd learn to harness that mean dog, or keep him in his pen....he'll turn on you someday.

Court, if you had read the original post by Justin & thus the reason for Pams first response, it would indeed appear as if pot shots were being taken at Brian.

If my understanding is correct, it was over the chimp comment. He was referring to how trivial it is to hand finish a set of heads after they've been through our CNC machine, and I believe it got interpreted as being about hand porting a set of cylinder heads, which is a whole different deal. You kinda had to read Richie's post to pick that up, though. Simple misunderstanding, as these things often are.

Human communication can be very difficult sometimes, I think we should all try to give the other person the benefit of the doubt (not that I always do, but I should).

I appreciate Pammy, Aaron, Hoser, Fubba, Dave, and the multitude of other experts working in the field and taking time to post here. Its a by in large thankless job, that (as seen here) for the most part just invites grief.

But it is exactly that which makes this board head and shoulders above the rest, and really a remarkable thing to be a part of.

Everybody is quick to give grief, and to be honest I wonder why the experts would bother spending spare time contributing here after busting their ass all day long doing the same damn stuff. If they wanted to work, I am sure they have work to do.

So I just want to say (and not just to NRHS) that we really do appreciate the time spent, the grief taken, and the information shared. I gave Aaron credit in my previous rant, but I have had just as much help from Pammy, Hoser, and Court as well. All bent over backwards to help a Bueller in need.

Thanks to everyone who takes time out of their precious free time to provide advice and assistance. And not only to Pammy and Wes, Aaron, Hoser, Dave, Bubba and all the other Pro's; but also to everyone else here who chimes in with a part number, assembly advice, trouble-shooting and all of the other help that we come here for - which I for one sincerely appreciate.

Group hug : D

Aaron's been helping others, not just this list, and I'm extremely thankful for that, he has helped me over the net when I had a Sportster, him knowing there was no money to be made, but good advice was still there; he didn't have to do it. He just did it. Thanks Aaron. Full Support from me.

IMHO,BUELLERS are a family, and like any family there are arguments, disagreements, problems, but it all seems to work out and go on.AS in any family, the others find out about bad things as well as good things. The personalities and opinions here are diverse as any family is,but the family always pulls thru.My support it for the family as a whole, and to those who support it also.Brian,Aaron,Tat,Dave,Daves, and a list of others to numerous to type.

Without Aarons encouragement and Brians help tuning my Gix I would never have set a record at Bonneville. Richard Nallin helped me learn to ride on the salt.

I ride a Japanese bike, and could be considered the 'enemy', but they all came through with advice and support, (and tools).

I wish each of them the best of luck, and look forward to seeing them again.
