One of my dear friends, Jeff Ruggles, (Ruggles on the BadWeb) just bought a Uly and was heading up to Big Sky MT to pick it up. While on the way he suffered a stroke and is in a hospital in Buffalo WY. Jeff and I have ridden together for years and served together in the Air Force. He has always had Harleys and bought a KLR so he could ride on his property but hated it on the highway so I let him sit on my Uly and a week later he bought one.

He has only posted a couple of times but has read everything he could about the Ulys on this site.

I talked to his wife and she is headed up to be with him. They are thinking he will be there at least three days and they will be critical days.

I am sick with worry right now and hope my brother will be home soon.

Send out a prayer for him and his family. Thanks,

I talked to his wife this morning. He never did make it to Big Sky HD to pickup his Uly so I will give them a call tomorrow. Jeff is sounding better but still unable to walk and see straight.

The roads closed last night and just re-opened so his wife is still on the way to get there. I will get another update after she arrives.

I have confidence my brother and I will be riding together again this summer.

Jeff and I have always been Sportster freaks and still think they are the best bike made by HD. As we got older we went from Sportys to Big Twins as our waist lines expanded and our butts were not up to the hard miles on the rigid motor mount Sportys.

One year we were headed to Sturgis but decided to go West instead and spent three days and about 2K miles in the mountains of Colorado.

We started riding together in 1992. I spent many miles following Jeffs tail light. There are few people that ride Harleys today that have an appreciation of all bikes. Jeff is one of them. I was real happy when he decided to get a Uly and although he still has a FLH and Dyna I think he will be on that Uly 90 percent of the time.
