What kind of riding are you doing?
I really like the handling of my Pirelli Strada tires. They are more of a dual compound, great for my riding where i commute mostly and play on twisties less often.

About to get a new rear PR2 myself. Almost 9,000 miles on this one, and the handle great!

Yea what kind of riding? I love the Scorpion Syncs, and the Diablo Stradas are nice from my limited experience so far.

I like the Stradas, But I came from the land of knobbys. The Stradas do work good in the rain for me.

I tried the Michelin pilot power last year and was very happy with the performance, longevity and most of all the price. I couldn`t tell any difference from the corsa III my bike came with other than it lasting about 500 miles longer.

Keep in mind that I don`t commute or do track days but I do ride very aggressively.

I`m going back to it once I burn off the crappy tire I have now.

My commute is only about 12 miles one way and the rest of the riding I would classify as Sport Touring. I ride a 2000 M2 with a S3T fairing. I was on Donelap's but they suck for wear and weather. Time to try something new. Thanks for the in put even though there has multiple threads on tires.

Based on some advice I was given here, I got a set of Continental Road Attacks for my '02 Cyclone. For the sport touring that I do, I have never even noticed their limits. That, and they were extremely inexpensive, and they look like they are going to go two full seasons.

I would say they are a good budget oriented choice.

Continental Road Attacks are great tires. Got just over 6K miles on the previous ones We're trying the Conti Force Max this time, size 190 in the rear.

Do ride assertively and get some track time also. They hold great and were superb in the rain.

I don't know what the normal prices are for them. This seems pretty good though. I noticed a small nick in my rear tire the other day and it is getting low on tread. I think I will go with these. This place is right down the road from me so I will probably just have them install them too.

I prefer the following tires in order;

Pirelli Corsa III (4,000 miles), Conti Road Attack (5,000 miles), Metzler M-3* (unknown mileage), Bridgestone 020s (8,000 miles). This is mostly riding in flat and straight Flori-duh. I should note, the Conti Roads stuck like glue during a wet track day.

*I have previously posted my disdain for the M-3s, but have since figured out what I was doing wrong. Good tire.

Michelin Pilot Powers are all I run on my bike.

No chicken strips here.

I rail on the ULY with the PR2CTs I have yet to have them slip. They last longer than the PP2CTs, and they are alot better in the rain. For the street, I cant find any thing better for my aggressive riding and long lasting rubber.

IMHO:

Chicken strips have very little to do with the tire.

try to get a dual or tri compound because you need to get the sticker rubber placed on the tire where it counts, THE EDGES!!! And the harder compound for durability/life.... And If you're looking for tire opinions/suggestions.. get a subscription to a magazine, that will be the straight up best thing to acknowledge (no offence peeps)

Chicken strips have very little to do with the tire.

That was my somewhat attempt at BadWeb humor. I get pretty good overall wear on my tires. I like to think that I ride aggressive, I try to stay off the superslap and attack the twisties when I can. Having twin boys rely on you for their every thing makes one ride a little wiser. Once again guys thanks for all the input on this issue that has been discussed multiple times. That why this is such a great site!!

The Continentals are at regular price. That being said, mine in order of preference

Continental: Sport Attack in front/ Road Attack in the rear, 9000 miles on the rear, no chicken strips without any clue to the tires stepping out on me, rain or shine. Little longer to warm up but I take a few minutes to "feel" the bike before doing anything aggressive anyway.

Michelin Pilot-Excellent grip in all aspects, really quick warm up, but the mileage didn't impress me, 4500-5000 miles

Metzeler M3?- Can't remember the model number nut it was a sport tire. Liked till it got wet, only tire that I had the rear end go sideways during hard acceleration, not an actual indicator of the tire, might have been the amount of throttle or something on the road. BUT not other tire has done that to me.

Bridgestone BTO10-Better than the Dunlops, not as good as the MetzLers, but I would like to try the tri level compound to see how they act.

With that being said, the Conti's are still my favorite hands down. But again this is me and my aggresive riding style. IMHO
