just tonight on my way home from work, it was snowing out so I wasn't on my motorcycle, I stopped at a gas station to get something to drink and a snack. I was wearing my Buell jacket and Buell hat and a girl there say it and said " she liked Buells". I was starting to think somebody else knew about Buells and then she said "German's do it best". I asked her to repeat that to make sure I had heard her correctly and then proceeded to tell her that Buells are American made in East Troy Wisconsin. She was totally shocked to learn that Buells were actually an American motorcycle. So I guess that I'm going to have to continue wearing my Buell jackets and hats to continue spreading the word that Buells area American motorcycles! It's easier when I'm riding my Buell, I just point to the emblem on the motorcycle. For the life of me I still can't understand why so many people think you have to drive or ride foreign made vehicles. |

Still amazes me . . . . I went to B&H to pickup my monthly 1TB hard drive and had 3 folks, 2 BMW owners, one Suzuki, walk up and oooh and awww over the Ulysses. "Where is it made?" . . . . .each of them asked. East Troy, WI in the United States I'd say and each time their eyes lit up. Don't know if it's significant but the 3 separate occurrences were all Indian males I'd say around 30. Reminds me that Buell has just begun to penetrate their potential market. |

I added OEM S2 tank decals to my '07 XB9R for this very reason. And people still ask me where she was made... |

Italian! I've had more no it nones think the bike was made in Italy. Really shows a persons true colors/knowledge, it's the same person that pronounces Cummins with the invisible "G"!!! |

Considering the general knowledge of at least one HD owner - Maybe it is to be expected. Have a picture of my Ulysses on my profile on a local board & HD guy says he won't ride w/ "Rice Burners" Cannibalizing something found someplace on this site just had to give this reply
(Actually if there was the right Jap scooter that fit me might consider one.) |

A Harley rider once asked me if I need any rice for my bike. I told him it runs on the same kind of rice that his does, so I would just borrow some from him. |

I sat with some harley riders at work the other day and one made a stupid comment about my bike. I'm the only one riding in when it isn't over 40 and dry. I said mine is made in Wisconsin. Yep, shock and awe. |
