Ok so since I started this post the topic has gone to dual sports. I guess thats my fault for working late and not being on here.

So I am speaking with the guys I ride with and we are thinking of camping and riding for the weekend up at the nest or maybe just a day trip. I will deffinetly let the board know when we be making the trip from central NJ. Any suggestions on camp grounds or places to stay?

Probably going to have at least 7-10 guys with or without chicks. Could be more though. These are our 30+ degree hard core riders. without heated gear by the way.

Hawk's Next isn't bad, but they're right, there's better roads to be had. It's fun, but much like the Kangamangus over in New Hampshire - it's a lot better at faster speeds.

Let the locals give you directions and you'll have a better time. Same with VT, there are a few good gap roads that are just so much better...

I have never thought of the nest as a ride in itself , but more of a starting point (albeit one with a very twisty driveway) from which you could shoot off in pretty much any direction on the compass and find yourself with a enjoyable ride. Not bad to have a choice of three states from one vantage point!
