Anyone know of a somewhat up-to-date online source of MSDS's?

I'm looking for absolutely nothing older than 5 years.

My normal contact for updates is not working out so well lately. Ahh some days I hate this job..

I've always used a subscription service called 3E at (800) 451-8346.

It's been a few years and I don't recall the cost but I see they are still around at:

Which manufacturer - what product?

EVERY manufacturer that I have to deal with has their MSDS's posted or available through an email or telephone request.

I was hoping for a free online source with somewhat current dates. Oh well, I'll just start through the list tomorrow and contact specific manufacturers.

Thanks for the tips.

I would call each manufacturer and have them fax you the current MSDS. This way, you get the latest one, which can be important.

Always worked for me.

Or have them send it to you as a .pdf.

When I did the last two power plants I maintained a notebook of all the original copies and then an electronic file as well. I kept a database of all the MSDS contacts and once a year an e-mail went to all of them asking for any updated information.

I used to also do something for my crews called "MSDS - Material Safety Data Simplified" where I prepared a laminated index size card that summed it all up. They could care less about most the technical garbage, they wanted to know IF it was a danger, if so . . what kind of danger and what to do about it.
