I am supplying Daves with an X1 to ride tomorrow in Orlando. I rode it to work today and it ran great. Then on the way home I had to wait for a train, after that bike ran poorly. Pulls fine under heavy throttle, idles fine but just off idle and crusing it surges. I have bypassed kickstand switch, clutch switch, tightened battery cables and replaced the plugs. No change. I looked for rubbed through wires and found none. Any suggestions. It is rideable but I'd like Dave to have a bike to ride that is performing 100%. thanks Frank '02 X1 race ECM, Wileyco pipe, Forcewinder breather, ~7800 miles |

What did the plugs you removed look like? If it is rich fouling, I would suspect one of the ECM temp sensors or the O2 sensor. |

My first guess would be the O2 sensor. It also happens to be the only sensor you can get on a Friday night as you can get one at AutoZone or you favorite auto parts store. From the Knowledge Vault. #12014 Bosch 02 sensor

I'll give the O2 sensor a try tomorrow morning. Thanks for the tips. Frank |
