I am supplying Daves with an X1 to ride tomorrow in Orlando. I rode it to work today and it ran great. Then on the way home I had to wait for a train, after that bike ran poorly. Pulls fine under heavy throttle, idles fine but just off idle and crusing it surges. I have bypassed kickstand switch, clutch switch, tightened battery cables and replaced the plugs. No change. I looked for rubbed through wires and found none. Any suggestions. It is rideable but I'd like Dave to have a bike to ride that is performing 100%.

thanks
Frank

What did the plugs you removed look like? If it is rich fouling, I would suspect one of the ECM temp sensors or the O2 sensor.

My first guess would be the O2 sensor. It also happens to be the only sensor you can get on a Friday night as you can get one at AutoZone or you favorite auto parts store. From the Knowledge Vault. #12014 Bosch 02 sensor

I'll give the O2 sensor a try tomorrow morning.
Thanks for the tips.
